chapter 6 - The orb

I saw something i didn't expect to make such a loud it was a small box an when i say small i mean small it was the size of my hand
Jami-how the fuck does a small box like that make such a big noise
I didnt say anything i just walked towards it fascinated by the music an small strikes of light shining from inside the box i was about to grab it when jackson pulled me back
Jackson- dont get close to it. It could be a bomb
I stared at hin with this look i was about to open my mouth an tell him how stupid that sounded like seriously how can a bomb fit in a box that small but then i saw the guards getting closer to it
"Stop dont get close to the box"
I pulled my hand from jacksons grip an walked towards the small box. I looked at the box up and down as i lifted it from the floor i saw a small note on the bottom of the box that said "Dear ally i am an old friend u probably dont remember me but i remember u very well from earth of course i am trusting u with whats in this box but be warned it can bring great danger if it feels like its in danger but if its safe then it will bring nothing but good things but dont touch it if ur scared for it will hurt u if u do" thats all the note said as if it wasnt finished i looked back an forth but there was nothing not even a name.
Jackson- give me the box
"No someone gave this to me to protect it an that what i shall do"
They all looked at me as of i were crazy i turned down to look at the box i wasn't gonna open it with everyone there. Without thinking about it again i walked to the stairs an went to my room i can hear them calling my name to come back down an i could hear jackson following me i ran to my room an looked the door behind me. I sat down at the desk by my bed i thought to myself how lucky i am that i didn't fall well i was coming up my leg still hurt but at least i could walk on my own now as i put the box on my desk i felt it vibrate it scared me but then i thought back to the note if i get scared what ever is in there will hurt me. I opened the box carefully just to find a very bright light an low music being covered by another note "beware ally dont let anyone touch it" i put the note aside an saw a bright orb shinning ever so bright with the most beautiful music playing as i went to grab it the door swung open.
Jackson-ally no don...
Before he could finish the sentence lightning struck all around the room the orb was already in my hand an it was very hot the music vanished but the light grew brighter an before i knew it the orb was no longer in my hand but inside the box an then it sealed it self in an no matter what i tried it would not open.
Jackson- Ally are you okay?
Anger grew inside me if he hasn't walked in this wouldn't have happened but i try an stay calm
"Am fine now please leave me alone"
That was as nice as i would get at that moment i saw Jackson walk to the door by the corner of my eye an then he turned around walked towards the box an grabbed it the box struck him with lightning an he fell quickly to the floor i caught his head so it would not hit the floor an tried to wake him up.
" JACKSON JACKSON WAKE UP"
I started crying why why did he have to grab the box i looked up at it it was still closed shut an it had no light or music anymore my mom walked in through the door.
Mom- are you guys okay i heard a loud
She was quiet after seeing jackson in my lap.
Mom- omg what happened
"He grabbed the box an it struck him with lightning will he be alright?"
I said as tears ran down my cheek
Mom- he seems fine ill take him to the hospital i dont want you messing with that thing anymore
She reached out for the box but i grabbed her hand right before she could touch it
"NO dont touch it"
She looked at me mad
"If you touch it it will strike u with lightning i am the only one that can touch it"
She relaxed an put her hand down
Mom- fine but be careful i will be back once i take jackson to the hospital
"Okay call me an let me know how he is doing"
She shuck her head an wrapped one of jacksons arm on her shoulders while the guard grabbed the other.
The door slammed shut behind them there wasn't even any wind i looked at my desk the box was gone.
"Where the hell did the box go"
I looked under the desk to see if it had fallen it but it had not in fact when i lifted my head it hit me it was floating right above me when i caught it a light bright appeared an thats the last thing i remember. The next day i wake up in my bed with my pj's i sit up thinking how i got here if i wasn't even close to my bed i was chasing the box around the room thats the last thing i remembered doing nothing else as i got out of bed i felt pain throughout my body and my wings were dragging behind me i couldn't lift them an they hurt. I stared at myself in the mirror when the door slowly swings open.
Mom- Hey honey your already awake?
"Mom how did i get in bed?"
Mom- i dont know when i walked in your room you were already asleep no one came in here.
I stayed quiet for a moment thinking.
Mom- what happen to your wings dear there dragging behind you?
" i dont know i woke up like this"
Mom- you must of moved to to much in your sleep here let me help you.
My mom touched my wings an cracked them it hurt a lot but at least they weren't dragging behind me.
"Thanks mom"
She smiled an was about to walk out the door when it came to mind
"Mom how is jackson doing?"
Mom- He is fine he is in his room if you wanna go see him.
"Okay thanks mom am gonna go check up on him"
She smiled and walked out. I looked over at my desk and saw the box closed but at least it was there. My body still hurt a lot so i walked slowly to the closet to get changed i throw on the first thing i saw hanging an the first pair of shoe i saw i out them on an went to jackson's room.
*knocked on the door*
Jackson- come in
As i walked in i saw him in bed eating breakfast he seemed pale and had an ice pack on his head.
"How are you feeling?"
He looked at me with this look i couldn't tell what he was thinking.
Jackson- am better now come lay down next to me
I sit down next to him we talked for a while i apologized for the way i acted an we watched a movie an blah blah blah just talked. Until we heard a loud noise at the door jackson couldn't get up so i did he tried to hold me back by grabbing my hand but i pulled it back. When i opened the door i saw the box with the music and the light i grabbed it gently an looked in the hallway to see if anyone was there but no one was in sight.
Jackson- what is it?
" Its the box with the orb"
He looked at me worried
Jackson- get it out of here
"Dont worry it wont hurt you this time i promise"
He relaxed an i went back in the room with the box i sat at his desk and opened the box Jackson sat up and looked at what i was doing. I grabbed the orb an the music got louder the brightness went away the music was beautiful an calm i out down the orb an started to dance am not sure why but i just felt so happy an felt like dancing i saw jackson get up an out of bed i looked at him shocked.
"Jackson i thought you couldn't get up"
Jackson- so did i but i feel perfectly fine
I looked over at the orb it was in the air spinning like a disco ball. Jackson grabbed my waist an we started dancing i was laughing for no reason i had no idea what was going on but i was happy. Until my mom walked it got awkward quick.
Mom- am i interrupting something
Me and jackson looked at each other an laughed then he let go of me
Jackson and ally- No
We said with a bright smile. My mom looked over and saw the orb.
Mom- ally i told you not to play with that and jackson you are suppose to be in bed
"Yea he suppose to be doesn't mean he has to be and am not playing with it am just dancing"
Mom- i dont care put the orb away.
The orb fell back into the box and sealed shut.
"There done what did you come up here for mother?"
Mom- dont use that tone with me
"Mother what do you want?"
She was mad but so was i.
Mom- there is someone down stairs i dont know who he is he wouldn't give a name he says he knows you an needs to talk to you now
