The Castle Of The Vampire (Vampire! Medic X Paranormal Investigator! Reader)

The Castle

You were reading online over paranormal places. You had been interested in paranormal stuff for years so you gathered the necessary equipment and went to various places to see if it was haunted or not.

As you were reading one place caught your eye "The Castle of the Vampire. It's in Stuttgart, Germany. Supposedly is the home of a vampire, some local teens went there and were found outside the castle a week later. All four had numerous bite marks on their necks and all their blood had been drained. They also bore marks of what seemed to be surgeries. One lost their spleen, one lost a kidney, one lost their left lung, the last one lost their heart." You muttered.

"Sounds like a good place to visit. I'll go." You said as you packed your bags and got on a plane to Germany. You were the lucky one and no one sat next to you so you read up on vampires.

"When hunting a vampire or being hunted by one ALWAYS wear a cross. Or wear something holy, it will prevent it from harming you too much. If you are caught by a vampire, you're screwed. So basically wear a cross at all times to protect yourself, got it." You thought.

The plane landed soon enough so you went off to Stuttgart.

Time skip to arrival at the castle
You opened the door of the castle and stared in awe at the magnificent castle. "So this is the Castle of the Vampire huh? Nice place." You said.

You quickly found a bedroom so you moved all your stuff in. "That's done, now to explore." You said. You walked around the castle to get a feel of the layout. "Don't vampires sleep in coffins during the day?" You thought.

You got out your book on the traditional vampire. "Yup, it should be in a coffin somewhere. So I just have to wait until nightfall to see this vampire." You thought. You then began to set up night vision cameras and thermal cameras around the castle. You then put the monitor in your room.

Time skip to that night

You were in your room at ten at night watching the monitors. "Safer than the alternative of going out there." You thought. For about an hour nothing happened until the cameras started to go out.

The cameras went online again, you looked to see where each of them was. You gulped when you saw that all of them except one was facing your door. "Where's the last one?" You asked panicked.

You did your best to not scream as the footage showed a hallway with a dim light showing under the door. You grabbed the monitor and ran out of the room, occasionally glancing at the monitor to see where the camera was.
You glanced at the monitor and nearly had a heart attack. You could see yourself running meaning whatever was chasing you was behind you. You then ducked into a room and hid in a cupboard. You turned off the monitor so it wouldn't give you away.

You heard footsteps enter the room. You then heard a quiet growl and footsteps gradually getting closer to you. You kept your hand over your mouth as you silently cried.

You heard another growl, directly outside the cupboard you were hiding in. You then heard footsteps leaving the room and slowly fade out as the creature left. You sighed in relief that it hadn't found you.

You knew a little about German vampires, tie knots in something and throw it at them as they go and untie the knots before attacking their prey. That or throw seeds at them as they go and count the seeds before attacking their prey. (I looked it up, it's true. Google German vampires and this is the stuff you'll find)

You didn't have anything that could be tied into a knot and you didn't have any seeds. After a little while you climbed out of the cupboard and walked around making sure to make as little noise as you could.
