Lives Change

Weeks passed. I got to know the cottage and my cousin better. She seemed to avoid the topic of Veela like her life depended on it. My book didn't have any new chapters. Each week someone new would come and stay for the week. Blaise came first, he was quiet and only spoke when he felt he needed to. Theo was next, he was childish and wanted to have fun. He reminded me of Fred and George. Last week was Sebastian. My cousin was very nice and open. He said a few girls will be coming to live with them once the next order attack happened. This week Malfoy was coming. I'm not looking forward to this. He is such a prick.

I woke up and noticed that he was already there but he wasn't alone. A red headed man sat beside him my heart dropped. "Ron?" I questioned if it was really him.

"Hermione, you're awake." he go up and rushed over to me. He picked me up and spun me around while we kissed.

"I'm going for a run." I heard my cousin say hastily

"I'll come with you." Draco said. "Viktor do you have the boys?"

"of course." He said chuckling. And with that the two disappeared.

"I'll be right back 'mione." Ron whispered into my ear. He made my blush from the feeling of his breath on my cheek.

I heard Viktor sigh. "What's wrong?"

"It's hard watching Lilah put on a tough face when I know she is hurting inside." Viktor stated.

"Sister, should be happy I saw her aura change when you four came in this morning. She was genuinely happy." Zach said.

Viktor pulled Zach in. "If only it was that simple, little one."

"Who else is here Viktor?"

"Oh Neville. He is looking at the family photo album in the living room."

"It's great to have you back but why are you back?"

"Ve are just stopping in for the day. Ve have been searching for vhat is needed to end this var. I do have a message for you from Ginny." He handed me a note. "She said she vish she could be here but she has been taking care of the hurt order members."

"That's okay and thank you for delivering the message."

"No, problem." Viktor smiled at me. I felt arms wrap around my body as Ron sat be hind me. It felt nice to have him here even if it was only for a little while.

We sat talking about random things for what seemed like hours. Neville came out to us after a while. I wonder where Lilah and Draco are. There is defiantly something going on between everyone that they aren't telling me. No one wants to talk about why Lilah is so upset. I mean she explained it a bit to me but it still doesn't help watching her pull away when people other than her family is here. Viktor got up breaking me from my thoughts. "I'm going to the lake for a moment. Vatch the boys please."

"Of course." I smiled at him.

Zach came up to Ron. "You told my sister that you would bring something for us the next time you saw us." He pouted.

Ron laughed. "You little stinker. You over heard our conversation."

"Yep, now where is our gifts?" Zach demanded.

"Zach that is not very nice to demand."

"So he said..."

"Zachary Regaliskie, what did I tell you?" Lilah's voice boomed from the edge of the trees.

"Sorry, sister." He hung his head.

"No, Bells, it's okay. Now boys, I was going to leave this for you before I left but since you are impatient I will give it to you now." Ron got up and pulled out his bag and handed each of them a parcel and then one to Lilah.
