*Disclaimer: I do not own the "My Babysitter's A Vampire" movie or series. I only own Ingrid and anything related to her plot.

Ingrid sat outside the café, tracing the rim of her mug with her finger. She watched the people as they passed her, smiling at their innocence and naivety.

"Still enjoy watching the humans, I see," said Basil as he sat in the chair across from her at the table.

"They're all so young," she said, not looking at him. "They are so innocent and dream so much." She turned to face Basil. "They are the most breakable species on this earth, and yet they believe that nothing can harm them. They have the shortest life-spans I know of, yet they believe that they are immortal. It's interesting."

"I'd love to see how they would deal with actual immortality."

"Why don't you run on over and bite one, then. The world could always use another vampire," she said sarcastically.

"You're hilarious."

"Why am I here, Basil?" asked Ingrid, bored. "I am meant to be in Peru--or was it Paris? Anyway, there is an alpha werewolf there terrorizing witches that I meant to take care of, call it a favor, for Beatrice."

"You're always so busy, Ingrid. Take a moment. Watching the grass grow can actually be quite fun."

"Basil Harper, why am I here?"

He sighed, pulling a small file from his backpack. "Now, before you see this, I want you to take a deep breathe. I know how you can get about him."

"I'm sure I'll be fine. Nobody really gets me that riled up." She laughed for a moment, but stopped when she saw the sincerity on Basil's face. She reached out and took his hand.

"I'm sure it can't be that bad. Show me."

"Ingrid," he sighed. He ran a quick hand through his short hair and tentatively placed the file in front of Ingrid on the table. She opened it with a smile, but it soon dropped after reading the first line.

"Basil, what is this?"

"You told me you wanted me to keep you updated on his actions, if they ever got out of hand. There it is." Ingrid frowned as she flipped through the pages quickly. She looked up at Basil sadly.

"This is Horace's doing?" she asked softly. "The killings? The attacks?"

"Sadly. I believe it's somehow tied to the Black Church Incident. My sources have told me he already has the Cubile Animus, or at least its location."

"How? I hid it years ago?"

"He's been working toward this for a long time, Ingrid. I'm actually surprised it has taken him this long."

Ingrid sighed, pulling her phone out of her pocket. She quickly called a number and put the phone up to her ear.

"Hey, Beatrice," she said into the phone, "yeah, I'm going to have to reschedule that whole werewolf thing. Yes, I know, I'm sorry. It's just, something's come up."

Author's Note:

Hello! So, this is my very first fan fiction, yeah! Please, stick with me through this awkward, sometimes jumbled, mess of a story. I promise I'll try my best to make it fun and I thank everyone who reads it.

I know this part is a bit short, but I will make them longer in the future, as this is only a prologue type of thing.
