Have you ever had one of those moments when something changes?
when you see someone
at a different angle?
Maybe it was in the hallway when you were
walking to second-period math class;
Maybe it was at 3:30 AM at Halloween party
when you were about to leave and you could hardly stay awake.
When you were sitting on those carpeted stairs with your head against the wall
and they were sitting in the chair in front of you
their head turned to the right so you can see the side of their face
when the light caught their hair and their eyes were droopy with drowsiness
all it takes is a second
maybe half of one
for your perspective
of someone to shift
And for your mind to begin to ask
"have I always felt like this?"
