"H-hey Tsukki," Yamaguchi shivered while walking behind his taller blonde partner.

White puffs of breath left his mouth as he quietly spoke, "yeah?"

"T-they said it's supposed to snow tonight again, maybe at least a few more inches," he trailed off with his words as a harsh shiver wracked his body.

Tsukishima only stopped walking, crunching of the snow ceased as he stood silent in the middle of the snow-covered sidewalk.

Yamaguchi almost ran into him. "I-is something wrong?" he mumbled clenching his already numb fists in his shallow pockets.

An odd silence surrounded them both as Tsukishima only glanced over his shoulder. His glasses were a little foggy from his breaths, but his golden eyes glimmered in faint sunlight. Clouds were already rolling in from the other side of the mountains making the skies grow darker with each passing minute. Yamaguchi stuttered with his words again trying to come up with a logical sentence to break the quietness, but Tsukishima only sighed in displeasure, "you forgot your gloves at home again?"

His mumbling faded as Yamaguchi looked down at his snow-covered feet solemnly. Realizing the slightly awkward situation, Tsukishima took his hands out of his pockets and began taking off his gloves.

"Ah, y-you don't have to!" Yamaguchi exclaimed, his face flustered from embarrassment and from the cold.

"My hands already endure enough from blocking, so they're already toughed up enough," Tsukishima deadpans holding his gloves out in front of him, "the cold isn't going to hurt them anyways,"

Yamaguchi, still very flustered, shakily withdrew his pale hands from his pockets. When he reached for the gloves, his fingertips ghosted over Tsukishima's palm. A shudder of surprise jolted through them both as they retracted their hands quickly.

"Your hands are warm!" "Well your hands are about to freeze off!" they both retorted at each other.

Yamaguchi huffed, a cloud of white mist streaming from his reddened nose as he slipped on the gloves. He was amazed on how warm they were inside, and he was about to tell Tsukishima, but he was already making his way down the sidewalk.

"H-hey! Don't leave me here!" he protested carefully running to catch up with him while being watchful for patches of ice.

"I don't like the idea of staying in the cold and becoming a snowman. I don't want kids shoving a carrot in my face, that's all," Tsukishima snickered as he stuffed his hands into his pockets.

"Y-you do have a point!" he giggled along as they continued side by side down the snowy sidewalk.

Just like Yamaguchi said, it snowed a few inches. Those few inches did manage to create several accidents and icy roads, thus canceling school and volleyball practice. Being stuck inside most of the day wasn't much of an exciting thought to the both of them. Yamaguchi was growing ever more bored as the day dragged on for what seemed like forever. Everyone else was busy playing out in the snow or sleeping in, but Yamaguchi couldn't get his mind off of one thing. He still had Tsukishima gloves from yesterday. His mind couldn't stay clear because of that.

"Maybe I should text him to see if I should walk over there to return his gloves," he sighed picking his cell phone up off his pillow.

After texting him that he still had his gloves, there was no response for at least ten minutes as usual. The cheerful ring of his phone made Yamaguchi jump in surprise as he reached for it.
