~ To a billion stars above ~
One day he asked her for her heart but she said her heart wasn't for sale.
He was still full of hope even though his confession was a fail.
The morning after, he approached the girl again by the candy store.
He said that to her, their friendship was sweet, but he would like more.
She responded by gently saying 'no' and walked away.
The boy, left standing alone, let a tear slip out but his heart did not sway.
Time passed by and they made no contact with each other for awhile.
The only thing keeping them apart was one simple mile.
Fate connected them after some years and they both gazed at the night sky.
The one that said her heart wasn't for sale reached over and grabbed his hand in a fly.
She said she had missed him and finally understood his love.
Turning, you said to me 'I love you' with a billion stars shining above. ~
