Part One of Two
Finally Cabir! Finally the time is here. Plan toh sara ready hai. Bas I Hope tumhare sadu dost ko realize hojaye. Nandini chirped - while applying some kohl in her doe - eyes to go with her attire for the night and in which she was adorned: a pair of black torn jeans with red short top . Cabir let out a chuckle and replied in his ever so rich voice Woh kya; uske farishtey bhi accept karlenge aaj. Protective hai wo bohot tere baarey mein! Aaj ke natak ka bada asar padega hero per. Aur aqal bhi ajaegi. Smiling hopefully; Nandini hmmed and then said, tucking a hair band in his never - said but favorite silken hair of hers Hope So Cabir! Bas koi gadbad nahi honi chahiye; warna mera dil phirse toot jaega. Cabir flumped on the driver seat of his car and assured with a pinch of boasting Arey Meri Jaan! Cabira ka ideas kabhi flop nahi hotey. Sab ek dum sahi hogaya. Bohot hogaya saaley ka Na Na karna! Agar iss baar nahi mana toh teri kasam; maar dalunga ussey. Chal tu ready ho ja; main araha hoon tujhe lene. Giggling at his statement; she cut the call after a plain simple 'Okay' and sighed deeply; both to gather some courage for the stunt she was going to perform and also with the happiness of the mere optimistic thought that she would be successful and at last achieve that one thing she had longed for - acceptance and confession of Love by him; by the bad yet the best boy, by her Manik.
Manik Malhotra - A 21 year old stud of the college; who was apparently known to be made of only three emotions: rage, ruthlessness and malevolence. A guy who thrashed people first before talking to them; who was mean and selfish; who bullied; who loved violence; who hated world and whom the world hated back and considered as an embodiment of terror and devil himself. Uber rich by birth and a sinful creature of God; with a towering height, scuplted muscles of the sexiest kind, angular face, rough - hewn features and most importantly a Virgin - he was every girl's dream; a dream that they abhorred to cherish for he was no gentleman but a monster in a handsome guise.
Like the entire universe; Nandini too - being a tender - hearted, timid and sympathetic orphan - had detested him for his brutality since her very first encounter with him; where he was engaged in a brutal fight with some supposedly 'innocent' students; on the third day of her college in which she had joined as a scholarship student. For some unknown rationale; she was scared of the entire 'good' world except the one and only 'worst' him and somehow; by some magical means; would always land up to face him and be the knight in the shining armor for the people he played heavy with. Her hatred for him only kept elevating; four - fold with every minute and every second; until one fine fortunate day when she happened to spot him in an Orphanage; having fun with the small children and some old people and smiling heartily with them. That moment; Nandini saw a completely different, unfamiliar, humane, gentle and perhaps, the real him. Obviously; she had a tough time convincing herself that whatever shown by her eyes was cent percent true and when she did; a strange unknown feeling took birth in the core of her heart. His warm happy presence among the lonely children; his charming smile that made the entire world around her gorgeous and the introduction with an entirely new and concealed pleasing facet of his - had intrigued her to restlessness and to seek answers to her queries; she ended up at the doorstep of that only individual who was dear and close to Manik; his second self - Cabir.
Being the wittiest and whip - smart personality; Cabir had seen the spark between his best Friend and the courageous Elfin girl Nandini - in the first meet itself and held a sort of appreciation and admiration for her - for many reasons. As time passed and as he saw the mere spark between these two slowly but surely taking the form of a passionate flame; desperation grew in him to get their story on a positive track - so that his lonely friend's barren life also gets filled with colors of Love, joy and peace - and now that the chance; Nandini herself; was before him with questions - he thanked God and willingly told her everything she needed to know about Manik to Love him; that he is no demon but an angel, a tortured and lone soul who was deprived of the blessing called happiness, who had lost his loving Mother at the age of 8 and whose only kin; his father cared more about business than him; that he was a soul who was harassed and physically abused as a child by hands of people to whom his dad had given his custody and that his savagery was nothing but a fake mask; a weapon he had adopted to save himself earlier and a shield that he still uses to guard himself from the wicked world.
This enlightment had eliminated all the disgust and hostility she felt for him and gradually; after secretly observing him and following him; she started liking him; his politeness with deserving, his carefree smile during the regular and often visits to orphanage; and eventually; fell for him - truely, hopelessly and irrevocably.
Contrasting to the tardy Nandini; Manik had fallen for her - head over heels and madly - the moment he had seen her for the first time on her first day in college. Her delicate dainty body, her beautiful face, her naive eyes, her innocent smile, her long lustrous hair, her cute self - talks, her simplicity and her demureness - all had first breathed life into his heart and then taken it away from him. Whenever she fought with him; like a tigress; every one thought it fueled his wrath but only he knew the converse fact that her sweet baby voice and angry pout - instantly calmed his burning nerves down and even made him smile; which of course; he expertly put out of every one's sight. During times when he would be too much depressed; he would reach at her hostel and just spend his peaceful time staring at her chupke chupke. He wanted and was dying to shower her and drown her in his Love; but kept his emotions buried and always gave her a cold 'I-don't-care' attitude as he didn't want her to become a part of his colorless gloomy world and strongly believed that he wasn't worthy of her. But probably; his fate had opposing plans for him - owing to which; instead of repelling - she was coming closer to him with each passing day. He had espied her in the orphanage and very well knew that she was developing feelings for him - and to stop this from happening; he tried appearing more bad before her but nothing worked; she never stopped in her track. And despite all his prevention efforts; his worst fears came true and she proposed him; voicing every thing that she felt for him. Her words made him happy like never before; gave him the delight of heavens but being adamant on his policy of keeping her away from his dark world; for her betterment; he rejected her and also ridiculed her saying he is a casanova, she ain't of his class and out of pity - he wouldn't mind sleeping with her; though it ripped his heart into threads and wounded his soul; so that she gives up on him.
His trick worked and she was deeply hurt; but mayhap; God had something else in store for them and so; before she could break and let go of him - Cabir; who had seen Manik crying and hurting himself after she left; came as a Cupid and revealed it to her that he hadn't even kissed any girl forget being a casanova and explained her why he had said such harsh words to her. Overtime; she had understood the complicated Manik pretty well and trusting his character; she considered Cabir's reasoning as honest.
Hell bent on making Manik come around; Cabir had devised a wise plan and made Nandini ostensibly quit College and kept her hidden from Manik - for a whole one week to build up the anxiousness and crave within him - which basically forms the first step of the plan.
