Pain In Disguise

Nagising ako sa isang iyak. I opened my eyes and saw no one. It's so dark.

I stood up and followed where the cry came from and my feet led me to the porch.

I saw a familiar back facing me. It felt lonely and that gave me an unexplained feeling.

I tried to walk towards dad but my feet felt numb and I can't move them.

"Help me Dad"I cried. But he didn't respond, didn't even turn his face like he didn't hear me.

Tears kept on rolling on my face because of that unexplained feeling occupying my whole body.

And when dad moved a bit, I thought he would come and save me like he always do but I was wrong. He walked forward making our distance from each other longer until he disappeared from my sight.

All I did was to cry and cry...

"Zarah, are you okay?"

I slowly opened my eyes and saw two reflections of me. I got up and hugged them tight.

"Why are you crying?" Tanong ni Samantha matapos ko silang pakawalan sa pagkakayakap

"I just had the worst nightmare" I explained. Tumingin ako sa buong kwarto. "Where's mommy and daddy?" kinabahan ako sa sarili kong tanong.

"We don't know. Hahanapin na namin sana siya nang umiiyak ka that's why we're still here" Sunshine explained. "So let's go now?"

"Okay" I smiled.

Hinanap namin sila sa mga kwartong malapit sa tinulugan namin (kwarto nina mommy, master's bedroom) which is in second floor pero wala sila. Pumunta na din kami sa third floor pero ni anino nila di namin makita even the maids. Ayan na naman yung kaba.

Nang pababa na kami ng hagdan, mas lalo akong kinabahan because an empty living room welcomed our eyes.

Nang nasa first floor na kami mismo...

"Surprise!" Biglang nagpakita sina mommy and daddy na may hawak na tatlong cake, si Lolo at Lola, mga katulong at some of our friends hawak hawak ang mga balloons.

Nagsitakbuhan kaming tatlo para yakapin ang aming mga magulang. They never failed us to smile and make us feel like we're the happiest princesses.
