When I opened my eyes, I was swallowed by the night sky. Millions of stars littered the vast emptiness that engulfed the very field I was laying in.
What happened? How did I get here?
I sat up, wondering what it was that brought me to the middle of unfamiliar territory. Although I won't complain too much, the view was extraordinary; breathtaking.
I looked to my left and gasped. There was a boy sitting next to me, gazing up towards the sky. He was oddly familiar, though I don't remember being with him. He noticed my staring and looked me straight in the eye. Grinning, he says,
"It's incredible, isn't it?"
I opened my mouth to answer but I found myself at a loss for words.
"I'll take that as a yes." He says, laughing.
I know this guy. What the hell is his name?
His laughter trails off and he just looks at me. I can't really describe the look he was giving. It was a look that I had only seen in movies about romance; the way a guy looks at a girl when he truly loves her. It sent chills down my spine experiencing it firsthand, but I don't even know this kid's name.
Wait.
His name starts with an A?
No it has an A in it. Right?
Ugh you idiot, there are thousands on names with A's in-
His lips were pressed to mine. I don't know how I didn't notice him leaning in. I started kissing back then I froze.
Jay.
I'm kissing Jay Adams.
I pull away, but before I could say anything, a loud and obnoxious beeping startles me awake.
Same dream again, huh?
I sighed, rubbing my eyes. I've been having a reoccurring dream for the past week, but I was only now that I actually figured out who I was with in that grassy, starlit field.
*beep* *beep* *beep* *beep*
I smashed the snooze button and threw my alarm clock across the room. How rude interrupting my thoughts like that. Stupid thing. I got out of bed, quickly put my hair into a ponytail, and grabbed something from my closet to wear; jeans and a navy blue, soccer T-shirt I got when I made the team for my school. School went out two weeks ago but I still wear my shirt frequently. Go Champions.
Jay Adams.
"Why him?" I said out loud to myself as I walked into the hallway.
"Why who?"
Kaitlyn.
I turn around to face my little sister who's yawning and has some serious bed hair.
"No one."
Kaitlyn rolls her eyes at me.
"You realize I'm not five, right? I know you're talking about someone and that certain someone is a dude." She winked.
I smiled but I was shooting daggers with my eyes.
"Kaitlyn, why are you awake?"
"Your damn alarm clock woke me up. Why are you awake? It's like the middle of the night."
I pull my phone out of my pocket.
"It's 10 o clock."
"Same difference."
"I'm going out with my friends, okay?"
"In the middle of the night?"
"It's ten o clock!"
"It's too early, that's what it is."
I turn towards the kitchen.
"Wait, one more question."
I'm going to hurt you.
I cross my arms and glare at her.
"What?" I say, clearly irritated.
A huge grin spreads across Kaitlyn's face.
"Do you have a crush on someone?"
"Fuck off!"
"Whoa, language." Kaitlyn laughs and goes back into her room.
I do not have a crush on Jay Adams.
Right?

Woohoo first chapter completed. That's an accomplishment. Sorry it's kind of short but you know, writing is kinda complicated. I like doing it and such but there's so many things to do. Or I'm just lazy lol. Not sure when the next update will be but stay tuned! I hope ya like it so far :)
