Hey there book lovers. This is our first ever book review(well this is exciting :D) And as you can tell by the title we are reviewing Are You There God? It's Me Margaret.

Well while S is re-reading the book I thought I would just do my review (it's A by the way) I read this book when I was 11 (it's a tradition in my family to read it at that age) I loved it! It's all about growing up bra's,periods, boys, friends, moving, school and religious independence. Margaret moves from New york to the suburbs of New Jersey. When she moves she befriends a girl the same age as her called Nancy that invites her into the club which talks about bra's, periods and boys. Also along the way Margaret also gets very confused about her religion her Grandmother calling her "her Jewish girl" and her other set of Grandparents claiming her as Christians. She also starts praying to God she's not sure which God but it's a God so she finds comfort in it.

I found this book amazing i've read it about a billion times and it never gets old! I love feeling so close to Margaret she is really relatable to anyone! Both me and my Mum have read this book and we are completely different readers we both love different kind of books and we both loved it she read it when she was 11 and again when i had finished reading it. All in all i found this book amazing and you should defiantly read it!

I give this book 4 question marks out of 5 :D

Well now I will leave you in the hands of S :D

Hey! Well since A has completely summed up the book, I guess that all I have to do is just share my thoughts. Firstly, the book is a really helpful for those trying to find spiritual independence. I strongly recommend it for pre-teen and teenage girls-I'm think probably from 12 to 14-as it explores the curiousity of the young teenage girl. Personally I believe that Blume has created Margarent to be sort of a "desperate" character since she is too anxious about her bra size and her period. Margaret is unlike any girl that I have come across because she completely confused about everything; I don't blame Margaret because she is inquisitive, in fact I am in awe of her bravery to accept that her childhood is over. Nancy represent the people you must be aware of in Secondary School (if you're British) or Middle School (if you are American, to be honest I am not very aware of foreign schooling systems :D).

I like to call them the "Perfects" these people seem to be the first to achieve anything- or rather lie that they have achieved something to maintain their top status in the group. Whether it's the retros or the geeks, these people are everywhere; this book tells pre-teens and teenagers to not look up to anyone but yourself because if you meet a "Perfect" then you will always class yourself second, when you deserve to be first! :D :D :D

I give this book: 3 Question marks out of 5 because the story is great for if you want to start to get into books, but the message is something to ponder about.
