It was a typical day in the life of Scotland Yard, when they were at a crime scene in London. There were dead, naked bodies hanging upside down with strange notes attached to them. This fellow is the child of craziness and laziness, England is the blasphemous country that has taken all and forced on us in arrogant ways its rotten culture. Retribution should befall the fools of the country that the hellcat rules. one of the notes said. Sir Arthur, the police commissioner of Scotland Yard, was enraged by this mysterious person's deeds. “This makes this 20 victims so far! And you still haven't caught this criminal?!” He asked Scotland Yard inspector Abberline in fury. “I haven't and I'm sorry Sir Arthur!” Abberline exclaimed. “When Jack the Ripper slipped through our hands, that brat got all the credit. . .” Sir Arthur said. “Brat? You mean Ciel Phantomhive?” Abberline asked, “You know I can't help but feel he's got some imense burden on his shoulders. And he's still only a child. . .” Suddenly, Ciel appeared at the scene. “So all the victims have just returned home from India then. . .” He asked. Abberline turned around and saw him with Sebastian and Shana. “Oh, you're here!” Abberline said. “But the culprit hasn't killed anyone yet?” Ciel asked. He then walked over to Sir Arthur and took the note he was holding out of his hands. Ciel read the note. “A child of craziness and laziness. . .” He said, “this man has a way with words doesn't he? I agree, this country would benefit if all these nouveaux riches from India would dissapear.” Ciel took a closer look at the note and saw at the bottom of the paper a drawing of a tongue sticking out of a mouth. “Still, I don't like this mark. . .” Ciel said. “With this, he's mocking the queen and all englishmen too!” Sir Arthur said as he snatched the note out of Ciel's hand, “He's Indian, I'm certain of it!” “Ah, I imagine that was the reason I was called in.” Ciel said, “Most of the Indians who've come here illegaly have been residing in the criminal neighboorhoods of the east end. And Scotland Yard still doesn't know their exact number or their precise location, does it? I cannot allow her majesty to continue suffering such indignation. Sebastian, Shana, let's go.” “Yes sir” Sebastian replied. Ciel, Shana, and Sebastian left the crime scene and went to the east end where the Indian immigrants were residing. “I believe this area is where the bulk of the Indians have settled.” Sebastian said. “Yes,” Ciel replied. Shana was looking around at the old, run down buildings in the neighboorhood. “I don't like the look of this place. . .” Shana said. She suddenly bumped into a poor, homeless Indian man by accident. “Ow! That hurt!” he yelled, “You fiend! I cracked a rib! I might die from this!” Then more poor Indians surrounded her and Ciel and Sebastian. “Yeah what happened?” one said. “What a terrible injury! He should pay you back for it!” said another. “Yes! Give us all your money, brats!” said the man that started the whole thing. “What a cliché bunch of thugs we seem to have ran into.” Sebastian said, “Master, shall I handle this?” “Yes, but make it quick.” Ciel replied. “Certainly.” Sebastian said. “Listen boy, you are outnumbered.” said the man that started the whole thing as he grabbed Ciel by his coat, “Everyone within a mile of here hates you english dogs!” Sebastian flicked the guy that was holding Ciel by his coat and he fell to the floor. The other Indians were shocked. “Did he hurt you at all, young master?” Sebasitan asked Ciel. “He did not.” Ciel replied. The man got up and was angry at the two englishmen. “Damn brat!” he yelled, “You take over our country, drag us here, and throw us away like garbage!” “Your people have trampled your filth all over our homeland!” said another Indian man. “How about we show you the humiliation of being robbed, eh?” said the Indian that started the whole thing. Just then, a noble Indian young man with his butler appeared. “Excuse me!” He said. The poor Indians turned to pay atteniton to him. “I am looking for this Indian woman. Perhaps you gentleman have seen her around here.” The young man said. “Who the hell are you?! Just stay out of this!” The Indian that started the whole thing said harshly. “Oh my, are fellows having a duel?” The young man said. He then looked at Ciel, Sebastian, and Shana. “He has a butler with him. . .” he said, “and a girlfriend. . .” Ciel and Shana got mad “SHE IS NOT MY GIRLFRIEND SHE IS MY ASSISTANT!!!” Ciel yelled. “Oh, I see.” The young man said, “My apologies. By the way, are you an english nobleman?” “What if I say I am?” Ciel asked. “Then I will have no choice, I must side with side with my countrymen.” The young man replied, “Agni!” Agni is the young Indian man's butler. “Yes?” Agni replied. “Defeat the englishmen.” The young man ordered. “Jo ajna.” Agni replied, “I shall use my holy weapon, which I was given to by my master.” He then rushed towards Sebastian and thrusted his hand towards him, but he block his attack. Agni tried to kick him, but he quickly dodged it. He also attempted to jab him, but Sebastian blocked Agni's jabs with his arm. “He's fast.” Sebastian said. Agni then stopped jabbing his arms. “I have repeatedly struck many of your vital pressure points.” he said, “Any normal person's arms would have gone numb by now. How are you moving?” “We weren't doing anything but walking down the street!” Shana yelled. “Are you nothing more than a reckless savage who will attack anyone who merely walks by you?” Ciel asked. “What? Tell me men, did you attack this child here for no good reason?” the young man asked the poor Indians. The poor Indians then realized that that's what they had been doing to Ciel and Shana. “Unfortunatley,” then young man said, “my countrymen are wrong here. Agni, we are on the englishmen side now. “Right,” Agni replied. With that, Agni then beat up the Indians that started trouble with Ciel and Shana. “It is done, Prince Soma.” he told his master. Soma Asman Kadar is the young indian man's name. “Good.” he replied. He picked up Ciel's hat off the floor. “There is someone we need to find, so we will be going now. Goodbye.” Soma said to Ciel as he tossed his hat to him. Ciel caught his hat, and Soma and Agni were on their way. Ciel and Shana were what that was all about. Later that evening, they returned back to the manor. “Well that was a waste of time.” Ciel said. “Tell me about it.” Shana replied. “One of those men might be the culprit we're looking for. Let us wait for Sir Arthur to contact us.” Sebastian replied. Finnian, Baldroy, and Mey-Rin walked into the room. “Master,” Baldroy said to Ciel. “Welcome home!” Finnian greeted Ciel. “Hello.~” Mey-Rin said to Ciel cheerfully. “I'll never get any peace at this rate if I'm called to London for every silly little thing.” Ciel said. Just then Lau walked in through the front door. “Ahhh! My lord! How good it is to see you.” He said. “What is he doing here?” Ciel asked. “Um. . . who are you again?” Shana asked Lau. “He name is Lau.” Ciel replied, “He entered the ice sculpting contest at the frost fair with us.” “Oh, I remember him now.” Shana replied. Ciel turned to pay attenion to Lau. “How many times have I told you to send a note first?” Ciel asked him. “Well I haven't kept a tally.” Lau chuckled. “Shall I bring some refreshments for our guest? Perhaps some tea, my lord?” Sebastian asked. “Oh dear, you may as well.” Ciel replied. “Perhaps chai rather than earl grey?” Lau asked Ciel. “Fine, whatever.” Ciel replied. Then he and Shana saw Soma and Agni at the door as well. They were looking at them like WTF. “W-w-weren't those the Indians we bumped into in London earlier?” Shana asked. “Oh them? I ran into them on the street corner. They said they wanted to speak with you.” Lau replied. “So you just come barging in here?!” Ciel asked Soma and Agni. “Why certainly.” Soma replied, “We are aquaintences now. Surely you have not forgotten me.” “We met during a street brawl.” Ciel replied. “And if you recall, I saved you.” Soma replied. “Saved me?! Excuse you!” Ciel yelled. “Back home, if someone does you a favor, you offer them hospitality.” Soma explaind, “Is it the British practice to leave your savior out in the cold?” Though they knew it was true that it would be nice to repay someone for helping you, Ciel and Shana were not pleased by Soma and Agni's actions of barging into Ciel's manor. Ciel bursted into his room to find Soma laying on his bed. “And just who the hell do you think you are?!” Ciel asked Soma rudely. “Who am I? Why, I am a prince.” Soma replied. “A prince?” Shana asked. “This is the son of the king of Benghal.” Agni said, “Would you please extend your warmest welcome to my master, Prince Soma Asman Kadar.” “Thank you for your hospitality, kid.” Soma said to Ciel. “A real prince in our own home! Amazing!” Finnian exclaimed. “Oooh! How exciting!” Mey-Rin exclaimed. “What an opportunity, I've never seen a prince up close before!” Baldroy exclaimed. “You may approach, I give you permission.” Soma told Ciel's servants. Ciel and Shana were watching Soma and Agni. They both seemed suspicious to them. “I don't know what it is, but there's something about these Indians that I don't like. . .” Shana said to Ciel. “Same here.” Ciel replied. “They're certainly not denizens, but they do seem suspicious.” Alastor said, “Ciel, why don't you tell Sebastian to keep a close eye on them?” “Good Idea.” Ciel replied, “Sebastian, don't let them out of your sight for a moment.” “Yes, sir.” Sebastian replied. The next morning, Agni woke up Ciel rather than Sebastian. “It is time to wake up, Lord Phantomhive.” Agni said. Ciel slowly woke up. “What was that? Who's there?” Ciel asked as he woke up. “Good Morning!” Agni exclaimed up in Ciel's face. Ciel jumped up on his bed. “Why are you in my room?!” Ciel yelled. “Breakfast is ready, it will get cold if you do not hurry.~” Agni said as he picked up Ciel. “What hell are you doing?! Put me down!” Ciel yelled. Then he heard Shana yelling as well. “Put me down you freaking moron!!” She yelled. Soma then entered the room with Shana in his hands. “I see that you woke up like this too, Shana.” Ciel said to her. “I did.” Shana replied. Both were really irritated with these Indians. Later that morning, Ciel was taking his violin lessons with Sebastian. “You will need a tutor while we're in London.” Sebastian told Ciel, “I shall be your tutor.” Ciel looked at the music notesheet. The song he was to play was Chaconne by Bach. “Bach's Chaconne in D Minor?” Ciel asked, “There's no way I can play something this complex.” “As your tutor, I make the rules.” Sebastian said to him, “Surely, you have no objections to my teaching methods, master.” Ciel then began to play the song with his violin. He was actually playing it a lot better than he thought he would be playing it. Then he heard Soma and Agni making noise. He looked over at them and saw them praying in front of a statue. “What are they doing?” he asked. “Looks like they're praying. . .” Shana replied. “It looks like to me the statue of a woman who seems to be carrying a severed head.” Sebastian said, “She's wearing a necklace of severed heads as well. And dancing on a man's stomach.” “It depicts one of the sacred beings of Hinduism.” Agni explained, “She is the Goddess Kali.” “A goddess of India?” Shana asked. “Kali is the wife of the God, Shiva.” “She is also the goddess of power. According to our faith, a demon once foolishly challenged her. Naturally, she was victorious. However, her destructive urges were not quelled. She gave herself to destruction and carnage. But then, to protect the earth, her husband Shiva threw himself at his wife's feet. Dreading upon her husband brought Kali back to her senses, and piece was again restored to the world. The statue shows her story, the goddess Kali walking upon her husband. And in her hand, the head of the vile demon that she defeated.” “And there you have it.” Ciel said to Shana and Sebastian. “That's an interesting story.” Shana said. “I've never heard of a goddess with such power.” Sebastian said, “I shall have to keep that in mind if I ever go back to India. . .” Later on, Ciel and Shana were having a fencing match. Soma was watching them, but was also bored. “Honestly? When are you going to be done with all of this? Yawn. What are you even doing anyway? You look like an idiot.” Soma said to Ciel. “Be quiet, you're distracting!” Ciel yelled. “Are all the english this short-tempered?” Soma asked. Shana and Ciel were getting annoyed. “Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!” Shana yelled. “If you need attention so badly why not give fencing a try?” Ciel said to Soma as he tossed his foil to him. Shana tossed hers to Ciel so they could have a fencing match. “Aha! And if I win, you will show me around town!” Soma exclamied. “If you can beat me.” Ciel said. They then began their duel. Soma swung his foil and struck Ciel on his leg. “What the-” Soma exclaimed. “A strike like that will acomplish nothing for you.” Ciel said, trying to strike Soma. “Wait, this isn't fair!” Soma exclaimed as he dodged the strike, “I don't know the rules like you do!” “A fight is a fight. It's not my fault if you don't know.” Ciel said. Just when Ciel was about to strike Soma, Agni jumped in and saved his master by jabbing Ciel in his arm. Ciel dropped his foil and fell to his knees. Agni then realized that Ciel was injured. “Sir! I am sorry!” Agni exclaimed, “When I saw the prince losing, my reflexes took over! Forgive me!” “Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!” Soma laughed, “You protected your master well, Agni! So, that is it kid! Agni is my servant, an extension of myself. Which means this fight goes to me!” “Wait, that's not fair!” Ciel exclaimed. Sebastian picked up the foil that Ciel dropped, knowing that he would have to avenge his young master. “For goodness sake,” Sebastian sighed, “master, why did you have to provoke the bratty little prince? However, as the Phantomhive butler I cannot just stand by when someone harms my master. That would be an absolutle disgrace to my position. Besides, we are 10 minutes behind schedule now.” “I am curious,” Soma replied, “very well, I will allow you to duel. Agni, fight him. And in the name of Kali, do not lose.” “Sebastian, I order you: Shut the brat's mouth now!” Ciel ordered Sebastian. “Jo ajna” Agni replied to Soma. “As you wish, young master.” Sebastian replied to Ciel. With that, Sebastian and Agni both began their duel. They were trying to strike each other with their foils. At one point, the two foils colided at their pointy ends, and they broke, thus making the match a draw. “That servant of yours is indeed impressive, Ciel.” Soma said to Ciel, “Agni is by far the best fighter in my palace. I have never met anyone who could keep up with him before.” Ciel was thinking that Agni was a match even for a demon. He was thinking that he mustn't be an ordinary human. “What happened, Sebastian? Agni is no ordinary human, is he? Is he another deadly-efficent butler?” Ciel asked Sebastian. “No, my lord.” Sebastian replied, “He is deadly, but he's human enough. “I see. . . but with as much strength as he has. . .” Ciel said. “Indeed,” Sebastian replied, “he could easily hang men upside down. It would be a simple task for him.” Later that day, Ciel was in his office with Shana. “There certainly is something I do not like about Agni at all.” Shana told Ciel. “Well, Sebastian said he is human.” Ciel replied. “That makes me wonder even more if he's a Denizen!” Shana exclaimed. “Is accusing any butler you come across around here of being a denizen the only thing you can do around here?” Ciel asked, “I mean, come on. You've been acting that way ever since you came across that Romanian boy and his denizen butler.” “Ciel has a point.” Alastor said to Shana, “You have been accusing pretty much any butler like Sebastian of being a denizen. And on many cases Ciel was to solve, you thought denizens were behind them as well.” “Indeed. Besides, do you think a denizen would have a religious belief in a god or goddess?” Ciel asked. “Well. . . you are right about that, denziens don't have religious beliefs. . .” Shana said. “Then you have nothing to worry about.” Ciel replied. “But denizens also consume human existences. Drac is certianly a denizen, and Sebastian will at some point consume your soul, right?” Shana asked. “Well. . . yes. . .” Ciel replied. “Then Sebastian is probably a denizen too since he can-” “Seriously, Shana your overthinking things too much.” Ciel said, “Sebastian is a demon, not a denizen. I already told you that.” “Well just saying that he isn't a denizen isn't enough evidence!” Shana exclaimed, “Because I was unable to detect that Drac was a denizen.” “And? Just because you're not able to tell if Sebastian is a denizen or not doesn't mean that he's like Drac. I mean, Sebastian just acts on my orders just like any butler would. But I assure you he is not a denizen, you're just worrying too much.” Ciel said. Maybe I'm not. Shana thought, Maybe I am right, Sebastian really is a denizen. Even so, I still don't have proof whether he is or isn't. . . As the day progressed, it was finally dinner time. Ciel, Shana, Soma, and Lau were at the dinner table. “So Soma, how long do you intend on staying here?” Ciel asked Soma. “We will leave when our business is done.” Soma replied. “That's right, you said you were searching for someone.” Lau said to Soma. “And you, how long do YOU intend on staying here?” Ciel asked Lau. “Now, my lord, play nice.” Lau told Ciel. “I am searching for a woman.” Soma said as he pulled out a piece of paper out of his vest, “This is her, Mina. She was a servant at my palace.” “Well Sebastian, do you think you can find her?” Ciel asked Sebastian. Sebastian looked at the portait of Mina. It looked like the drawing of a 5th grader. “Even I can't do much with that. But I'll try.” he replied. “So, tell me. What is this Mina doing here?” Ciel asked. “I have known Mina my whole life.” Soma said, “She was basically my nurse maid, the only person who ever took care of me. My mother and father barely paid attenion to me. It was a lonely life. But I had Mina. She was always there for me. Then. . . a british nobleman who had her eyes on her kidnapped her and took her back to England with him.” “In other words, you are here to bring this woman back to India with you?” Ciel asked. “That's right.” Soma replied, “I will stop at nothing to bring her back.” “Seems like a lot of fuss to make over a servant.” Ciel said. Soma then got mad. “No it isn't!” He yelled as he got up from his seat. He went over to Ciel and grabbed him by his shirt. “You cannot comprehend my despair of being seperated from her! You do not understand!” he yelled. “No, I don't.” Ciel replied, “Something as trifling as that causes you great despair? You're right, I don't understand it. And I don't care too. Ciel broke out of Soma's grip and began to walk away. “There are some things you can never get back, no matter how hard you struggle.” Ciel told Soma, “But maybe you're still to young to understand that Prince Soma.” He then exited the dinning room. Shana was looking at Ciel in worry. Oh Ciel. . . Shana thought. “Too young. . .” Soma said, “I am old enough to know what I want. And I don't want to be alone anymore. . .”
