Finally it was lunch time! Lexi told me to come sit with her and her friends. I don't know why she was being so nice to me but I had a feeling she was just using me to get to Luke. I gave her a chance though. She might be nice? And it wasn't like I knew anyone else in my year. I felt a bit left out though.
I saw Demie and Chloe coming through the door. I told Lexi I was going to get something and got up to go see them.
Demie had already made friends with all of Chloe's friends.
"Hey!" I said
" Hey Luce! How's everything going?" Demie replies
"Ok I suppose. I just don't know if people are using me. You know. Because of Luke?"
"Give it some time. If they keep asking about Luke then they probably are. Don't get too close to them. Just for now. Be careful."
"I will. Thanks!"
I started to walk away when I heard my name.
"Lucie! Lucie!"
I turned around thinking it was Demie or Chloe. But it was Lexi.
"Lucie?Where are you going!?"
"Oh hi Lexi! I was just talking to my sister!"
"Oh right! Well come sit with us! We want to get to know you!"
I knew what was coming next.
I sat down with about 7 other girls, including Lexi. The questions came flooding in. At first just about me.
"You're from England right?"
"What brings you here?"
And things like that. But then..
"I heard you're with Luke?"
"How's Luke?"
"Can we meet him?"
I knew it. They were using me. It hurt a lot knowing that if I told them to just leave me alone they would hate me forever but if I stayed with them they would carry on using me and then dump me when they got what they wanted.
I just got up and walked towards Demie and Chloe.
"Hey.. Erm can I stay with you for a bit?"
"Sure Luce! What's up? That girl seemed nice?" Chloe replied
"Yeah.. She seemed nice! But they've all just started asking a million questions about Luke. I guess they were using me. It only took them 3 hours! They could've at least left it a day!" I had to stop myself from bursting into tears.
*briiiiiiiinnngg*
Finally! The end of the day! I just wanted to go home and cry.
I grabbed my stuff and walked outside to see a huge circle of girls surrounding someone.
That someone just so happened to be Luke.
Brilliant! Just brilliant! I just want to go home!
I pushed my way through all of the girls. Luke smiled at me.
"Sorry girls, I'm taken. Got to go." He said.
He winked at me, grabbed my hand and pulled me through the crowd.
He was so sweet! He just left all of his fans because he could see I was upset!
The second we got out of the school gate I burst into tears.
"Hey hey! What's up babe?"
"Today was awful! These girls were being really nice and then they just started asking about you. Using me basically! So know I have no one. Demie and Chloe we're with their own group of friends. I just don't know what to do!"
" Listen babe, stay away from them girls. Talk to some new people tomorrow. Once they get to know you they will love you, for you! Not me! I promise!"
"You promise?"
"I promise! Now come on. Lets go home!"
I smiled and squeezed his hand tighter.
