Alyson cringed away from the tall girl's piercing stare. "Alyson. Nice to meet you, i'm Jaybird; Aynna's eldest daughter." Alyson bowed her head "Nice to meet you.." She muttered and ducked away from the slim girl. A slim figure stood on top of a tall rock. "Aynna" Alyson breathed in relief and hurried to meet the powerful woman. "Alyson." Aynna acknowledged her without turning. "What is your primary spirit." Aynna asked, a slow snarl creeping into her voice. "W-what?" Alyson whimpered, cowering behind Aynna. "What animal controls your thoughts most dominantly. If you were face in a dangerous situation would you be ferocious, cunning?" Alyson narrowed her eyes "If I was in danger I would respond with ferocity." She muttered. "Good.. good. Would you be strong, fast or smart." Alyson thought about this for a moment. "Fast. Can't let them get to me." Aynna nodded. "Heights or claustrophobia." She asked. "Claustrophobia" Alyson cringed at the thought of being higher than the clouds. "Close your eyes and picture yourself as any animal." Alyson closed her eyes and thought of a leopard, with claws as sharp as talons she could tear through anything. "Alyson. Look." Suddenly when sh blinked open her eyes she was standing on four legs. She glanced down and saw a dark pelt with a leopard's body. "Wait here and come up when I call you, okay?" Alyson nodded and Aynna strode forward. "Friends. We have a new member. Her name is Alyson and she has the mind of a panther. Alyson, come." Alyson became human and stepped forward, black hair covering one of her aquamarine eyes. Happy murmering spread out among the group. "And the time to avenge my sister is nigh." Aynna yelled, her face lifting to the sky. Aynna jumped down so Alyson followed. "Mum.. I don't want you to die." Alyson focused on the high-pitched voice. "I won't Rosemary.. I promise." That was Aynna's voice. Alyson's heart pounded. She could die tonight and never get to know these people. She sunk to her knees and stifled a tear. "Alyson. You won't die. My dream forbids it." Alyson glanced up to see Jaybird's face close to hers. "Okay? Don't cry. My father will die and so will I, but whatever happens to you, you must keep going. Okay?" Alyson nodded. She had begun to like Jaybird, but her rude introduction prevented her from becoming friends with her. "Thank you Jaybird.. try to defy your fate" She muttered.
Alyson let out a vicious snarl and leaped onto the tigress threatening her. Digging her sharp claws deep, she forgot all sense of humanity until the tigress yowled in pain and she saw blood covering her paws. She let go and watched the tigress transform into a woman and stagger away. "Jay!" She heard Aynna's screech and then a ferocious snarling and a death sigh. "Aynna just killed someone" She heard uneasy muttering and took the chance to dish out bites and scratches to deer, stags, lions, tigresses and worst of all, goats. Hearing another death cry made her fight harder. In the end blood scattered everywhere and bodies lay on the dusty floor. "Don't ever kill my sister or daughter again. You hear me?" Aynna had a wild look in her eye that Alyson didn't like. "Aynna.. calm down." A stern voice commanded. Alyson spun around to see a graceful woman stepping towards her. "Mum!" Aynna screamed and launched towards her. "Careful dear, i'm on death's door. I came to let someone finish me off". A cry of outrage came from the remaining enemy group. Alyson glanced down at her blood-soaked paws and turned back human. She heard a cry, soon realising it was her, staring at her hands.
