Chapter Fourteen

Eugene

"You lied to me." Minah placed her hands on her hips and frowned. "I thought we were best friends. Why didn't you tell me the truth about your... Genie?"

"Because who would believe someone who claims to have a genie that only they can see?" I argued. She stayed silent.

"You're right. I would just think you're mad." She sighed. "He says that the only way to get him back is for me to make at least three wishes before you can rub his lamp and become yours again."

"Why don't you wish for him to return back to me?" I suggested. Minah looked to her left for a quick moment. A slight smirk appeared on her face. Then she looked back at me, hiding the smirk.

"He said that we can't do that."

"That's bullshit!" I growled, throwing myself onto my bed. "Minah... are you lying?"

"Why would I lie?" She crossed her arms and slouched, seeming annoyed that I even suspected her to lie.

"I don't know. I was just thinking." I mumbled. "Please take care of him until you can return him back. You know how I feel." I pouted, sitting up on my bed crosslegged.

"Oh sweetie. It's cute how you think I'm going to return him back to you." She chuckled, rolling her eyes.

"What?" I was taken aback.

"You can't love a genie, you fool."

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me." She raised her eyebrows and grinned.

"What the hell? Why are you being like this?" I yelled, standing up in front of her.

"Because you're taking sides with the enemies! The whole time you weren't at school, I was fighting for you, and then you go ahead and forgive them like nothing happened. Because of that, I will be taking your genie, and I won't be giving him back. Unless, you take back your forgiveness. Then you can have him back. You must pick. Love or friendship." She screamed.

"You're blackmailing me!? What did I do to you?" I scoffed.

"You di—Go away Taehyung!—You didn't do anything to me. Hana did. And I made the stupid mistake of forgiving her. Now she went and did the same thing to you. I'm not doing this to hurt you; I'm doing this to open your eyes and see the bad. I may be acting like the bad person right now, but you'll thank me soon enough." Her voice softened as she clutched tighter onto my lamp.

"W-what did Hana do to you?" I queried.

"Do you remember, before we were friends, I was dating Choi Sungmin?" She breathed out.

"Hmm... Yes I do." I nodded.

"Well, I caught Hana kissing Sungmin at the school dance, and she acted innocent. I forgave her after I became friends with you, and she took it too far by doing it again. Now, call her and Jimin, and tell them that you can't be friends." Minah demanded.

"Then I can have Taehyung back?" I hoped. She nodded and handed me my phone. I made the first call to Jimin.

Taehyung

The amount of times Minah would make things up just for her stupid revenge plan, angered me. I didn't belong to her—I belonged to Eugene. I couldn't think of anymore ways to get her back.

"Jimin? It's Eugene... Uh yeah, it's just that, um... I think I left my lip balm at your house?" Her face dropped, and I knew straight away that she wouldn't be able to unfriend them once again. "Oh, I didn't? Well thanks anyway." And she hung up.
