Emily got up to get ready for school, it was storming out but the ocean outside seemed calm, it seemed odd but she ignored it. She called her younger sister, Jennifer, like she did every morning, just to talk as they got ready.
Emily and Jennifer met up in the main lobby where they usually do. They went to class after the bell. The teachers in the school were being very strict about all students keeping quiet and sitting in there seats but the air felt heavy so everyone listened. The principles voice came over the loud speaker.
"Good morning students of East Wiltshire School. I have some devastating news, all schools on the island are evacuating, we will be sending you over in groups, anyone with siblings in our school or Blue Field, the high school, please meet in the cafeteria."
Emily made her way to the cafeteria, she saw some high school kids walking down the hall. She knew one of them, she went up to them and said, "hey guys, why are you here?"
"Well, the code program was supposed to do a presentation here today for the grade nine kids, but it got cancelled because of the evacuation, one of the boys is on his way back to Blue Field to find his girlfriend," said Emily's friend Jonathan.
They headed towards the cafeteria, and sat down waiting for the principle to walk onto the stage and tell them what to do.
