He walked up the stone steps to the front door. He was trying to ignore the feeling that something wasn't right, the feeling that was pulsating through his body, weakening him with every step. He knocked twice, the hollow sound echoing throughout the house, rattling the windows panes, making them seem as is they were shivering. No answer. He obviously wasn't welcome but he entered anyway, through the creaky, cathedral-like door. Before he had a chance to close it, the wind wrenched it from his fingertips and slammed it behind him. Yet again, the windows rattled and shivered, made him do so too. He was drawn to the dozen or so pictures that covered the wall of the stairs and traced his fingers along them as he crept up to the attic...
