Alexandra's/Manami's POV

"Have you any idea how worried I was? I thought you were dying. What were you thinking? Tomorrow is the last day. They were going to start without you." Shikamaru breathed right after he kissed me. Resting his forehead on mine.

I noticed his eyes tearing up. "I was thinking, my loved ones have to live happily. I have always risked my life for others Shika. Remember when we met? I was recovering from an almost death situation. It's what I do. I'm sorry for worrying you like that. Forgive me?" I whispered back to him. Giving him my puppy dog eyes.

He stared at me for a minute then sighed signaling his defeat. I smiled softly at him. "That date sure loves to make us wait doesn't it?" I joked.

He laughed quietly and pulled himself away from my face. I sat up, my wounds not hurting anymore. 'Thank you Tenshi' I thought to her.

"Yeah it does, doesn't it?" He finally said. He looked deep in thought. I wonder what goes on his head? Does he think about smart stuff? Clouds? How troublesome life is?....... Me?

I blushed at the thought. I wonder if he thinks about me. Like I think about him y'know? Doesn't matter though.

"Hey Manami? I have a question. You said you could see a possible future right? Can you do that at will? Or is it random?" Shikamaru asked me whispering so as to not spill anything accidently.

"It depends, I can see some things at will but other things are just random. I've yet to learn to master it after all." I whispered back to him. He nodded in understanding.

"Do you think you could get someone else to see it? Like, link your vision to someone else's mind and share it?" He asked, still being quiet.

I thought about it. Could I? I can try. But will it work? Why does he want to know? Is there something he wants to see in general? I needed to know.

"I'm not sure but why do you ask? Is there something in general you wish to see?" I asked him.

He hesitated. "Just a little bit of my future I guess. I... Wanted to answer a question I've been asking myself for a couple days now. I guess I'm waiting a little longer." He said slightly smiling.

Now that made me curious. What about his future? The curiosity is killing me. Oh great, I'm a cat. Curiosity killed the cat and curiosity is killing me. I'm a freaking cat.

Ok, getting off topic. I looked at him and asked him the awkward question. "We kissed. So what does that make us?" Ugh let the ground swallow me whole.

He blushed and started stuttering. "I-I mean, you... We... I-I-I, ummm, us. Uhh, y'know, I-I'm... And y-you... Ugh what a drag-" I cut him off.

"Shikamaru. Breathe. I didn't ask so that you could feel uncomfortable. Ok maybe a little bit, but just be straight with me. Are we a thing or was that the heat of the moment for you?" I had to be blunt.

Normally I'm not this straight with people, but with Shikamaru it's like we switch roles. He goes from genius to me in 0.05 seconds and I go from... Well, me... To Sai in the same amount of time.

Once that thought processed in my head, I froze. I went back to being me. And now, cue the stuttering. "I-I mean... I just..." I tried to say but couldn't. Why now?

Shikamaru's POV

She's stuttering. Did I miss something? Manami doesn't stutter. Not with me. What's going on in her head? What a drag. Is she regretting her words?

Kami, I hope not. As a matter of fact, what is wrong with me? IQ of over 200 and I can't talk normally to a girl!? How troublesome.

"I want me and you to be together. But isn't this rushing?" I asked her, finally deciding it was enough. She's not troublesome like most women. I should be able to talk to her just fine.

She looked at me curiously. Kami, her teal eyes look like swimming pools. Glittering, sparkling, however you want to call it. Either way, beautiful.

I looked out the window only to notice we had stayed up all night. The sun was raising and soon this troublesome test will be over.

"I-is it rushing? If you feel that way... I don't mind... I-I just wanted to know. We still on for that date, right?" She asked almost shyly. Adorable.

I smiled at her. "Of course, wouldn't miss it for the world." I told her.

We talked for a little while longer but then a knock interrupted our conversation. Akumu and Yuika came in looking depressed until they'd seen their friend up and well.

Alexandra's/Manami's POV

"MANAMI!!!" They screamed in relief and excitement and they tackled me. I laughed. "So, who did I worry most?" I asked almost mischiviously.

Yuika raised her hand high while Akumu was trying to play it off cool. "I knew you'd be fine. No need to worry much. You know?"

Yuika looked at her in disbelief. "Are you kidding me? She was panicking the whole time saying how if you didn't wake up she was going to drag your sorry ass back to the living world, kick your ass, then kill you again for making her go through all that." Yui said.

I raised my eyebrow in amusement. "Did she now? Well Akumu, I'm alive and well, no need for that now right?" I teased her. She just rolled her eyes, but a smile could be seen.

"Oh and by the way, the reason we came is because the jounins are gathering everyone up. It's time. Test is over." Akumu said.

I looked at Shikamaru and smiled. "That date is getting closer. Better be ready." I joked with him. He smiled at me.

We walked out of the room and into the meeting room where everyone was being held captive. Ok, ok, not captive.

Walking in I decide to sit down, Shika sitting right beside me. He snaked his arms around my shoulders. I smirked. Rushing huh? Why you holding me then? I giggled to myself.

I shook my head a little and finally payed attention to the situation. They were announcing about the preliminaries.

Awwww fuck. Well, thank Kami I've been 'sleeping' for 3 days. I'm ok to go. But, what about my friends? I turned to look at Akumu and Yuika but they seemed fine.

Why am I worrying? We're the Hell's Angels. We've gotten these names due to conquering worse situations. Chūnin exams? We're kicking your ass. And the ones that were facing. ;)

I turned my head to whisper in Shikamaru's ear. "Guess that date will just have to wait a little bit longer."

I had to laugh when Shika groaned. "What a drag!"
