"I'm so glad your home." I groaned as I rolled over on the couch to receive the fresh coffee Alex was handing me.

"I'm glad, too." He leaned over and pecked my forehead. "Need anything else, baby?"

"I think my pain meds are wearing off...and a blanket would be nice." I tried to take a sip of the steaming hot liquid. "Actually...I won't need a blanket."

"Okay." He chuckled and went to the bathroom for the meds.

"I brought you some water. That coffee is way too hot for you." He winked and handed me the drugs. I happily chugged them down. The cramps were starting to get intense again.

"Actually." I shivered. "Can I maybe get some fuzzy socks?" Alex rolled his eyes and nodded, slightly jogging to our bedroom.

"Anything else." Alex sighed. "I'm so tired."

"I can't do this!" I moaned. "I need...I need!" I whined.

"You need what?!" Alex shouted and laughed. Though he hated seeing me in pain, I was sure my display was quite hilarious.

"I'm calling Lynn. If anyone can help you it's someone else who has periods." Alex took out his phone and dialed her number. I held my abdomen and rolled around to dull the pain. "Lynn, can you get over here...I don't know what to do!...I need some help!...Thanks."

Time passed and I was still whining and crying. Alex had yet to sit down as he kept running back and forth for my various needs.

"Lynn!" I squealed, jumping off the couch and feeling the blood move around in my body. I grimaced and sat back down.

"Hey, you okay?" Lynn chuckled as Alex sat down next to me and sighed tiredly.

"Considering." I smiled up at her. "Alex just doesn't understand."

"Men never do." She shook her head as I glanced down at her bag. "I brought a couple of movies and a shit ton of chocolate."

"Thank God!" I shouted up to the heavens. "Alex..." I said sternly. "Get my heating pad!" He glared at me. "Please..." I whimpered.

"Let's watch this one first." Lynn welcomed herself and went straight for the Blu-Ray player.

Within minutes I was satisfied. My tummy was warm and I had my two favorite people cuddled up beside me, hot coffee in my hands, and fuzzy socks.

"Thank you." I whispered to Alex. "I love you."

The corners of Alex's mouth turned up slowly as his eyes stayed on the screen.

"I'd do anything. I love you, too." He briefly kissed my cheeks and turned his attention back to the screen.

It seemed as though life couldn't get any better than this!
