My alarm went off and six, jolting me awake from my sleep. I let out a low groan and rolled over to turn off the annoying beeping.  I let out a relieved sigh when it finally stopped and rolled out of the bed "Seb?" I whispered, my voice still thick with sleep. Sebastian groaned "Sleeping." He mumbled into his pillow. Chuckling, I stretched my arms "Alright. My bad." He smiled and I shook my head.
I stepped into the hallway, almost tripping over one of Sebastian's boxes he had laying around "Damn it, Seb." I mumbled under my breath and kicked the box, only hurting my toe worse. I rolled my eyes and went into the kitchen to start the coffee pot. Today I was starting my first year as a teacher at WMHS and I couldn't be more nervous.
What if the kids don't like me? Or what if I don't like them? What if- "You alright?" Sebastian's voice brought me back to reality "Sorry, I was just thinking. I'm nervous." Sebastian smiled gently at me "No need to be." He promised me and walked over, wrapping his arms around my waist "Yeah, you're probably right." I whispered. "I'm always right." He joked and pecked my lips "Whatever." I said and laughed, pushing him away from me so I could go get ready.
I made my way back to the bedroom and put on the outfit I picked out last night. My dress pants and a red button up, and of course no outfit would be complete without a bow tie. After gelling my hair just the way I liked it, I looked over myself in the mirror. "You're Blaine Anderson, high school English teacher, soon to be groom and I /will/ change some kids lives," I said to myself as I straightened my bow tie. After another minute I stepped out and grabbed my bag and headed back to the kitchen. Sebastian handed me my coffee and bent down to kiss me gently "Have a good day. I love you." He said and smiled. I took my coffee and took a sip "Love you, too." I said before jolting out.
I pulled up to the school and turned down the Katy perry I had been listening to, as I usually am. I took a deep breath and opened the car door, stepping out as I hummed Teenage Dream softly to myself. After checking in with the office I headed down the hall to my classroom. I put my bag on my desk and busied myself with getting everything set up for the day, ending with it writing my name in big letters. I sat down and spun in my chair as I waited for my first class of the day.
They first bell rang and they all started to pile into the classroom. I immediately got into teacher mode "please find a seat and I'll pass the paper Around for you all to write you name so I know who is here." I got out a piece of paper and pen, handing it to a student. After the last kid came in and I  explained what they were doing one more he sat on the edge of my desk. "Welcome to AP English, I'm mr. Anderson." I introduced and smiled kindly. I scanned over the kids to try o guess what kind of student each of them, and failing, I guess I'm not Sherlock Holmes. My eyes fell on one kid, pale skin and blue eyes with beautiful hair, it looked soft a silky and was the color of milk chocolate.
I was brought out of my thoughts my a student "mr.Anderson?" The kid asked and I looked down "thanks." I said and took the paper he had been holding out for me. He nodded and went back to whatever he had been doing. I stood up and walked to the board "our first novel this year will be-" I did a drum roll on my desk "The Great Gatsby." I said and watched as some of their faces fell. "Perk up, it's an amazing book." I went on telling them about what this year will be all about and  a bit about myself.
After class was over I dismissed them and said goodbye "have a nice day, I'll see you all tomorrow." I said and waved, sighing out of relief that I had gotten through my first class of the day.
