Wind drifted in the air ripping the leafs from their holds on the whistling tree tops. Below on the forest floor a little girl with flowing blonde hair to her feet cried out for her lost family. Howls rose in the distance as the moon and darkness took over the sun and sky. The little girl wailed crawling to her knees and holding her head tight within her precious tiny hands. Within the distance stepped out a deep forbidding shadow the little girl lifted her head and stared at it almost stepping back over a tree root in fear. "Do not fear the Unknown, little one nor the thought of being alone," voiced the shadow stepping out to relieve a silver coated wolf with light moon deep grey eyes. The little girl weep shoving her head once again in her hands shuttering a shiver as the cold wind gave a hint of approaching winter sessions to come. The wolf stepped forward wrapping the little girl tight in his fur. The girl slowly rose her hand to his soft pelt struggling to stay warm. "Let me help you, so that when your strong we can find the ones you love," said the wolf nudging the girl gently to follow him. The girl took a moment for obeying following him into the deep foreign darkness that surrendered the forest as it strode in the nighttime's partnership with the moon. After a while the little girl stepped into a cave with the wolf breathing in the warmth that followed. The wolf sat down in a corner lined with green beaten down ferns and moss lined with feathers. "Thank you, mister wolf," staggered the little girl still a little cold. "Call me Lunar," replied the wolf gazing into the girls eyes. "Oh, sorry well i'm Hope its nice to meet you," said the girl inching forward to the wolf. "Make your self at home," said Lunar laying down in the soft bracken. Hope moved forward and lay against Lunar's pelt sharing in his warmth and together they slept the night away until morning light broke into the silent's of the den. Hope woke up looking around and leaning her back gently against the wolf's fur. She looked around the den and suddenly she noticed for the first time cobwebbed cover nests that once looked like they had been slept on by other wolves. Then she remember what her grandfather once told her. Wolves they hunted in packs because unlike humans they were grateful to share their life with kin of their own kind. "Where are your friends and family," said Hope suddenly gently turning around and stroking Lunar's fluffy neck mane. Suddenly Lunar's stood up and walked to the entrance of the cave. Memories upon memories seemed to have drifted into his mind and looked as if they flashed in his eyes as he looked upon the strengthening light. "I remember a time, when i hunted with my brothers and shared what earth had given with not only my kind, but humans," said Lunar as if the memory pained him as he thought on for what happen after that. "But, humans started being more greedy and taking more then their fair share, and then blamed us their brothers who thought we were both equal beneath the same sky, they murder us in cold blood, until their was nothing left," finished Lunar hanging his head low moaning in the hurtful and brutal memories. Hope reached forward hugging him in her tiny hands tightly. Lunar looked at her thankful for her comfort. " When I get home, I promise to make sure everybody and everything knows the meaning of sharing, their will always be enough for everybody, everything is connected my grandfather told me from the smallest mouse to the tallest tree and beyond the horizon," said Hope looking into Lunar eyes.
