ll stay here." CaiBTW : I fastforward to where Christan and Brooke r going to collage :) hope u don't mind :) Enjoy

"Hey Brooke" I greeted my girlfriend for three months. She gave me a big smile, and a small peck on the cheek. My family invited her to go camping with us as an end-of-the-summer trip. When we got back, it would be a few days before both Brooke and I moved off to collage.

We got excepted in the same university, so we'd be together through collage, which I was greatful for.

"Come on, love birds." my older sister, Caitlin, said. She got into the drivers seat, and looked down at her phone, texting to one of her friends, I guess.

I took Brooke's hand, and lead her over to the car. I opened the door for her, and she slid in, the same smile as before still glued onto her pretty little face.

I got in on my side, after loading Brooke's things in the trunk, and we pulled out, and onto the highway, towards the camp ground.

Brooke and I listened to my I-Pod all the way there, goofing around, and singing along to the songs she knew. She had such a pretty singing voice...

We pulled into a McDonald's on the way there, since it'd take us a few hours to get to the campground, and Caitlin was thirsty.

Brooke and I ordered a coke, and Brooke giggled.

"We like the same drink." she said, adding a small giggle. "The irony."

Caitlin laughed up front, and I shot her a look, which she didn't see. Brooke noticed, and she laughed again.

"Your just full of the giggles, aren't you?" I asked. Brooke nodded, and laughed again.

"I'm just in a good mood." she said, a big smile spread across her face.

"Obviously." Caitlin said, and laughed. "But your always in a good mood." Brooke smile widened.

"No wonder Christan loves you so much." she added, and I kicked her seat. "What?" she asked, laughing.

Brooke held in her laughter this time, and patted my shoulder.

"It's okay." she said. "I love you too."

I smiled, and held her hand until we got the drinks. When we did, I handed Brooke her's first, and then got mine.

And then we were on the road again.

(*( At the Camp Site )*)

When we arrived, Brooke and my mom, who came, went to go tell the owner of the land that we had arrived. As they did, Caitlin and I got the tent ready.

"Doesn't it feel weird." Caitlin asked after a moment of silence.

"What's weird?" I asked as I connected two bars for the tent.

"That your the only guy on htis trip?" she asked, a teasing smile on her face. I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help but smile.

"No...not really." I said.

Another moment of silence pasted, and Caitlin shot me another random question.

"You gonna ask her to marry you?"

I stopped connecting bars, and looked up at her. "what?"

Caitlin gave me a look. "You know...take her hand in marrage? Before you two run off to collage together?"

I went back to connecting bars, and shrugged. "Not yet...I'm thinking about it...but not now."

"Okay." Caitlin said, and we finished putting up the tent.

As we were unloading the car of the things we brough, Brooke and my mom came back. I gave Brooke a hug, and she kissed my cheek this time.

I smiled at her, and she smiled back.

"Alright..we are all set!" my mom announced. "Why don't you kids run down to the lake, and go relax while I get the fire ready?"

"I'll stay here." Caitlin offered. Brooke took my hand, and we walked to towards the lake.

As we did, the sun slowly set off towards the west, turning the sky from sky blue to cotton candy pink. The clouds closest to the sun matched the sky, while the clouds farthest of the sun turned a shade of purple. The sun a bright, orange fire ball over the edge of the lake.

"God..." Brooke said as she starred in awe of the beauty. "This sure is pretty."

I smiled, and wrapped my arm around her shoulders. She looked over at me, a soft smile played on her lips.

I returned the same smile before leaning in and kissing those soft lips. She smiled into the kiss, kissing back.

I was the first to break it. "This is the perfect time" I said, and took her over to the wodden picnick table they had near the lake.

I sat her on the bench, and she smiled.

"what's going on?" she asked. I took a deep breath, taking both her hands in mine.

"Brooke..." I started, and she nodded. "You are a beautiful, beautiful girl. You stole my heart the minute I laid eyes on you. Your a wonderful girl, and an even better girlfriend. I'd be the luckiest man alive if I ever get the chance to marry you...." I reached into my pocket, and pulled out a small box.

Brooke gasped, and her eyes started wattering slightly. She knew what was coming next. I got down on one knee, and opened the box to reveal a dimond ring. It was my great grandmothers, and now, hopefully, it would be Brooke's.

"Brooke." I started again. "I think your perfect for me...I don't want to waste another minute...without me calling you my wife...Will you be mine...forever?" I asked.

She smiled even wider, as I asked the words most men ask as they propose.

"Will you marry me?"

She smiled even wider, and choaked a "Yes." I smiled too, and slipped the ring onto her finger.

"Beautiful..." I said. "Like you." I brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear before kissing her once more.

She wrapped her arms around my neck, tugging at the bottom of my hair on my neck. I smiled into the kiss, and she did too.

We were torn of the moment at clapping, and the flash of a picture being taken.

"I knew it!" Caitlin yelled. Brooke blushed slightly, and I smiled at her.

"Ya'll are so cute!" my mom said, snapping another picture. I rolled my eyes, and we all went back to the camp site, and roasted marshmellows, and hot dogs.

As I snuggled up to my future wife all night...
