Its the last week of school and the Christmas holidays are right around the corner, and unlike the other teenagers who spend their Christmas break overseas or road tripping around the Australian border I'm spending them tucked inside my warm, cosy bed sipping on a hot cup of chocolate while watching Netflix. Well at least I wasn't the only one, Jacinta my best friend also like me, is going nowhere but from the fridge to her bedroom, and of coarse the bathroom.

Its the last lesson of the day and thank god its my free period, this is the only time where I can sit down in the library and finish off my half-read wattpad books. As soon as the bell rung I ran down the corridor into the library where I parked my butt on one of the chairs and begin reading on wattpad until Scott pulls up a chair and starts boasting about his jam-packed holidays.

"My family thought we should go skiing up in Victoria" he says

"Cool, sounds fun" I replied while scanning through the last few pages of The Quirky Tale of April Hale, trying to finish off the last chapter when Scott took my phone out of my hands and stared at me.

"Did you even hear what I said?" he asked

"Yeah your family are going skiing" I replied in frustration as I snatched my phone back out of his hand.

"No stupid, I also said that I am also going to the Gold Coast with Anthony and his friends". Anthony's Scott's best friend, well before he made out with his girlfriend, which I would also like to mention was Jacinta. But I guess their back to being best friends now and got over it.

"Cool, look Scott I wanted to spend this free period reading in peace not talking about your holiday schedule" I sighed.

"I'm guessing your not doing much during the holidays then?" he stated while scanning his eyes over my phone screen. I nodded, keeping my eyes peeled on my screen trying to complete the last chapter.

"huh, sounds pretty gay to me" referring to the story I was reading, he chuckles just as the class bell rings, leaving me a few seconds to rush out the door before Scott begins talking again.

As our homeroom is dismissed I grab my bag and walk through the main corridor, out of the school gate and out across the big oval. Jacinta is running after me, looking like a retarded duck waddling to keep up with its mother. I stop walking for her to catch up with me, she uses my shoulder as a rail to hold herself up on as she takes deep breaths.

"um..." she pauses for a breath, then finally pulls herself together and removes her hand from my shoulder. I stare at her waiting for her to say something.

"I was wanting to ask you if you would like to go to cibo?". I looked at her stunned to the fact that she ran all that way to ask me such a stupid question.

"You ran all the way to ask me this?" I questioned her in a tone asking if she's joking.

"Well not exactly" she said, giving the hint that there was something else she wanted to tell me.

"Well then what else did you want to tell me?" I asked impatiently.

"Well you will just have to wait and see while were eating our cibo ice-cream" she said while pulling my hand and beginning to run across the oval, talking me with her. I pulled my hand out of hers and stopped to think through why this thing she wanted to ask me had to wait till we sit down to eat ice-cream. Was it that serious that we have to sit down and discuss it over ice-cream?

"Come on your so slow!" she yelled as I realized how far she had gotten in front of me. I sprinted after her running at full pace, I forget about the thought and suppose it will have to wait till we sit down and eat our ice-cream.
