I woke up to the sound of my mom's voice yelling "Kourtney it's time to get up! let's go! we have an early flight!" We had to get up for our flight to Australia. That's right im going to Australia for the summer. I couldn't help but notice that it was still dark out. I looked at my phone and realized it was 5 o'clock in the morning! I was so tired considering I stayed awake all night to finish my packing, and dancing in the mirror ridiculously. I rolled out of bed and started getting ready to go. Knowing it was going to be a lengthy flight, I opted for a baggy T-shirt, high waisted shorts, and a pair of vans. I brushed my teeth and hair, washed my face and put my sunglasses on. Just as i finished getting ready, my mom screamed that it was time to go. perfect timing. I walked down the stairs and my mom and I put our bags in the car. We were finally on our way to the airport.
Many minutes later, we made it through security and were waiting for our plane to begin boarding. I was so excited i could not sit still. I have never been anywhere outside of my state and now im going to Australia! A female voice sounded over the intercom saying that my flight was boarding. My mom and i got our stuff together and boarded the plane. I got comfortable, put my music in my ear, and began drifting to sleep. Australia is going to be great!
