Chapter 1
It was mid- August in Arkansas, 102 degrees, people were getting tired of the heat, and it was hard to cool down. But there was one girl named Lilly Elizabeth Smith, who had more things on her mind then the heat. Her best friend Sarah Louise Fletterman had disappeared about a month ago and the police have been investigating but they cant find a trace of Sarah or any evidence. Lilly and Sarah are both 13 years old and have been friends since they were three. They both had long brown luxurious hair and and they were pretty tall. But they had different color eyes. Lilly had ocean blue eyes and Sarah had walnut colored eyes. They were beautiful girls and they were liked by everyone. Especially Sarah. People have no idea why anybody would want to hurt her. She had a perfect life! Lilly has been mourning her disappearance since she disappeared. She prays every night that her best friend Sarah Louise Fletterman will be found.
On the first day of 9th grade Lilly woke up despairingly she didn't want to go to her first day of ninth grade without Sarah! She asked her mom" Pleasee let me miss, I cant go without Sarah!" her mom replied' Lilly you have to go to school its your first day of 9th grade you cant miss, and i know you miss Sarah, i do to she was like a second daughter to me but eventually you'll have to move on she's been gone for a little over month now and the police still haven't found any evidence." Mom i will never move on she's my best friend and if they don't find her in a couple of days Ill go search for her myself! "replied Lilly" Sure "said Mrs. Smith.
After her mom dropped her off at Littleton Junior High Lilly regretted even getting in the car. People were rushing everywhere! There was honking, screaming and chaos! But then when she got inside it was even worse! Kids were spitting spit balls, yelling, running, and most of all shoving! You'd think junior high kids would be more mature!Then finally the bell rang! She looked at her schedule, "8:10- Life Science." Lilly then realized that that was the class that her and Sarah had dreamed about taking together! She thought to herself( man this cant get any worse!) and then she stepped in gum! Lilly decided she couldn't take it anymore, she had to find Sarah, no matter what it takes, then she ran out the school's front doors.
