We were prepping to drop by the time commander Lasky came by to tell us "drop is in 30 be ready" we were the best FireTeam aboard the Infinity so we were sent to do most missions and handle the FireFights. There were 32 of us as a complete Spartan unit. When we paired with FireTeam Omega, Bravo, and Echo. This mission so happened to be with them. My team took lead though consisting of Pheonix, Porter, Tristan, Simon, Gage, Felix, Clyde, and me Callum. Omega was second in charge consisting of Adam, Brody, Connor, Dylan, Fletcher, Isaac, Gabriel,and Axel their leader. While Echo contained Damon the leader, Daniel, Gavin, Grayson, Hunter, Jacob, Joshua, and Luke. The final team was Bravo with Their leader Mark, Parker, Preston, Riley, Scott, Trent, Tyler, and Peyton. Being in charge of the head team means I am the leader of the whole Spartan unit. Axel was second in command and Damon and Mark were third and fourth. By the time there were 10 minutes left the Pelicans were readying up. After five the Pelicans were cancelled for the reason of them being needed with other firefights so we got the chance to all ride in a vulture. Everything was ready so I said "my Spartan unit on the bird, NOW!" Everyone in my Spartan unit did so then checking over I got in making sure everyone was on. They all were on the vulture. On the way there we got our instructions it took a while to get there. We did eventually, though. Once we were in atmosphere we started jumping. Everyone jumped then right before jump Porter hands me my helmet and says
"Callum, your gonna need this for the trip" grabbed my helmet then he jumped I put it on then ran and leaped out of the hatch. I strafed forward catching up to everyone eventually passing everyone. I was the first to hit the ground. Once everyone else got there I looked up realizing they were bringing a package. It looked to be a vehicle but I couldn't make out what it was. They dropped it and I realized it was a mammoth. I immediately realized that we were going to use it for not just a firefight but for a battle against the innies.
"Everyone in the mammoth" I grabbed Pheonix and told him to get Clyde, Felix, and Gage and go man the 'mini-Mac'. Afterward I got aboard told Isaac to get a few other and to drive to X:-6486 and Z:5398. It was a while a way but we had to make sure the path was clear to use since this would become a battleground route for the UNSC. After an hour past I sent Peyton on recon to see what was ahead on a warthog up on a hilltop he rushes back down parks the warthog in the mammoth rushing to tell us that up ahead were hundreds of innies on this route.
