This chapter has a small bit of Allie in it. :) I know I haven't included her in awhile so here it goes. Thanks for reading and enjoy...

The week went by uneventfully. My mom was still being a lunatic and I avoided her and any talk of the ball or Ronald like the plague. As lunch on Friday came about I was in a grouchy mood. Tomorrow was my first etiquette lesson, and needless to say I was not excited. Not excited at all. I was sitting at our usual table with Allie and Caden, listening to them banter pointlessly about some bands, which honestly both sucked anyway. I looked away, bored with their topic when I saw Summer a couple tables down, talking angrily into her cell phone.
She looked hot as usual, ripped jeans and a black band tank top layered under a thick leather jacket, her hair perfect and wavy. But she was scowling, her pretty lips in a frustrated pout. I grinned evilly to myself and got up, walking over to her.
We can't have her upset can we?
As I got there I heard the last few words of her conversation, clipped and angry.
"Fine but don't expect me to be pleasant, because it will not happen!" She then slammed the phone closed and threw it on the table, not showing any worry of it breaking. She sat down heavily and rubbed at her temples, the glare still present on her face. I smirked and strolled up to her, planting myself in the seat beside her on the bench. She barely looked up, unconcerned with my presence at the moment. It annoyed me. So I adopted the most irritating expression I could muster and dragged my finger lightly up her exposed hand.
"Trouble in the perfect life I see." I stated arrogantly, moving my hand slowly higher up her arm. I could feel her shiver, which made me grin smugly, but her next reaction was not what I expected. She raised her head out of her hands and glared at me with so much anger that it made me recoil back in surprise. She then shoved my hand off roughly and stood up, slinging her backpack over her shoulder in the process. She then narrowed her eyes and kept her face hateful as she glared, making me cringe.
"You don't know what your talking about," she started, a malicious tone to her voice. "All you are is a toy I use for amusement." I felt like I had been slapped. But I kept my face neutral, the amused, emotionless smirk everpresent. Our eyes locked for a moment before she turned and stomped away. Only then did I let my face fall. Why did I care so much about Summer's reaction? I forced myself to think it was guilt, not returning to my friends until the pain lessened.
Though it was still there.
As I sat back in my previous seat Caden looked at me in concern, his face worried. But Allie was glaring maliciously at my hand. The hand I used to touch Summer's shoulder. I pretended to ignore them both as I pulled out my phone, typing the buttons harshly. I suceeded in ignoring them for about five minutes when as predicted a high pitched voice stopped me.
"So Liannaaa..." Allie said, much louder than necessary. She took her hand and grabbed the hand she was glaring at, squeezing it tightly in her small palms with a satistfied smirk. I rolled my eyes at her before pulling away my hand, making her pout. Ever since our talk she hasn't blatantly said anything about her feelings.
But that doesn't mean she wasn't obvious about it.
Constantly she was touching me. Poking, tapping, offering me massages. She even kissed me on the cheek a few times, telling me what a great friend I was. I was starting to feel irritated. She was my best friend yes, but the school girl crush act was getting old. And everytime I would try to be angry and tell her to stop she would give me a sad look, making me feel guilty.
So I just chose to ignore it.
"Lianna? Lianna!" Her voice shrilled, snapping me out of my thoughts.
