Victoria

It's him again. Mr. Peterson with his twin? I didn't know he has a twin. Of course, I won't know. We're not that close. We just met yesterday. He also brought a girl. Maybe his girlfriend.

"Hi, Mr. Peterson." he giggled, "Just call me Arthur," he point the lad on his left side, "This is Edward," Edward extended his arms for a shake. So I just took it, "Edward is my twin brother." of course he is, Mr. Peterson. It's obvious. "And this is, Jessica," she smiled, instead of shaking she hugged me, "Finally, Mrs. Adams find her most treasure again." so they all know me. "Jessica is my sister-" Jessica cleared her throat, "Step-sister." she correct. "Stop it, we're still sisters." I guess, it was Edward.

I served them the food they want. I won't take their payment. It's unfair for the others. Mum let them pay while she doesn't let the Petersons' to pay. They're lucky enough.

"I love your soup." Edward scream. Arthur laugh and so Jessica, "Gonna have my lunch here!" Jessica says. Good to know they appreciates.

"Where's your mother?" Arthur ask.

"At home, taking care of my daughter." he nodded smiling. His smile is so stunning. His eyes are always smiling. He's always so happy. He ever made my mum happy.

"Miss?" one customer calls. "One soup, please?" I nodded and left. Mr. Peterson.

I took the soup to the costumer and went back to my place. Mr. Peterson and his crew was still there. He smiled when he saw me. "What's the name of your daughter?" Arthur asks. "Veronica Elizabeth." he nodded.

"About yesterday, I'm sorry. Because of my daughter, you didn't eat your lunch properly. She's just three years-old." I says and he giggled, girly. "Not a problem, Victoria. I bet she likes me. She even called me Daddy." he says and stood up.

He offers a money but I refused it. It's what mum said last night. "Take it, please." I hesitate accept it. So he just left it on the table and ran with Edward and I forgot her name. They're so happy together. They're living their life to the fullest. No children. Nothing at all. They just focus on how to raise a money.

Why did I ever took Kenneth's over then? I don't have enough knowledge about relationships. About men.

Some customers are leaving already. This work is so tiring. But mum still manages this. Besides, she has some chief. It's her friends. Today, her friends' children. This small restaurant belongs to my grandma. She started this and gave it to my mum when she felt she's too old for this. Mum mentioned my grandparents are still alive, I wander where they live. Maybe I could visit them one day.

"I'll have the soup, please?" one customer orders. I serve him his order. He winked at me. I roll my eyes and left him eating there. Men are so annoying. They're good at first but when they got what they want, they'll just leave you there. Broken into hundred pieces. Shuttered. Hurt you emotionally. But mine was different, he didn't leave but hurt me emotionally and physically.

"How much is this soup?" the customer who winked at me ask. I point the board and he left the money on the table, "How about you?" he smirked. "I'm not like the soup that you can pay after you taste. Now, back off." he groaned and left.

Evening came and more customers came and some of mother's chief were the one who's serving the food. This whole situation is so challenging.

Minutes later, the girl who ate with Mr. Peterson came back. "In case you forgot my name, I'm Jessica." she offered her hand for a shake and I took it. "Arthur wants to give this for daughter." she brought a teddy bear and powdered milk. "Oh god, he doesn't have to do this." I said.

"Please, Victoria. Take this," she pleads, "He likes to help you. He knows what happened to you." I just take the teddy bear and the powdered milk. "Thank you," I smile, "Tell him that too." she smiles and left.

Mr. Peterson's child will be lucky to have him. He's so gentle to kids. I hope every men is like Arthur.
