I tried to talk to him but fear overcomes me. What should I tell him? That he made me upset? That he somewhat hurt my feelings? It's a stupid move for me. As a girl, I would let the lad to talk to first. To ask me if what's bothering me or what so ever but he already did. I mean, when we're having lunch together, he asked me if I'm alright but I kept on lying. Now, it's not him who's stupid, it's me.

He ordered four boxes of pizza. Two boxes for us. One box for mum and one box for Veronica. I honestly love the way he calls my daughter 'Princess'. "When is Veronica's birthday?" I almost forgot, she'll be turning 4 with in three months.

"Victoria!" he snaps his fingers

"What?"

"Do you have any plan for her birthday?" I honestly don't have. I shook my head.

"Well, I'll contact Jessica to have a children's party in here. I'll contact my high school friends." I wandered what would it like be? Kenneth never planned something for his daughter. He's an assh**e.

"Gonna ask mum about it." I say

"Let me do it for you." he wink. Wait, did he just wink at me? He winked at me.

My heart is beating so fast. My pulse is beating so fast. I shouldn't feel this.

I just give him a nod and he went to the kitchen and dial my mum's number. My mother likes him so much and so he does. He's the one who took care of my mum while I was starving, abused and suffering. There's a pang of jealousy inside of me knowing that someone took my place in my mother's heart. But on the other hand, I should thank him for what he did to my mun while I was gone.

"And she said 'Yes'!" he jumped in front of me. "And she said that she would like that the birthday party will be held at the store." he added. I felt excited. I've never planned something like this to my daughter because her biological dad warned me not to plan any. I'm so thankful that Arthur is here, supporting the child that's not even his.

I watch him talk. I observe him plan the party for my daughter, "I can't wait to see the little princess in her gown!" he screamed. I smiled at him knowing that he's more excited than me. I'm excited also but I don't know how to pay this lad.

"Hey," he interrupt me from my thoughts, "What's wrong?" he's seem so nice.

"Nothing," I swallow, "I'm just thinking how I could repay you for your goodness." I smiled.

"Hey," he touches my chin and lift my head, "You don't have to. I offered this." he give me a smile, "You don't have to worry."

He continues to plan. I don't know what to suggest, "What theme do you like?" he ask. I just watch him through all the time. "I don't know. Maybe Frozen or something. She likes Frozen." I informed him and large grin planted in his face. "Alright then! I can't wait!" he screamed again.

"Daddy?" he quite, "Mommy?" Veronica walk rubbing her eyes.

"You wake her up!" I whispered. "I'm sorry."

He carries Veronica and bring her to the couch. Seeing this situation is so new to me. I didn't experienced these. Not in my whole life. I watch the two eat the pizza together. She's seems so happy to see that she has a father. Or should I say a temporary father. I know this whole situation is just temporary. And I'm afraid what might happen to my daughter when this happiness is gone.

While watching them, the door bell ring. I got up to know who it is. "Gonna open the door." I informed Arthur and he nodded.

I open the door and I almost scream, "Surprise!" what the hell is he doing here?

Kenneth grabbed me by wrist, "Arthur!" I screamed. "Victoria!" he screamed back. When Kenneth saw Arthur, he release me. Arthur pulled me into a hug, "So it's you," Kenneth said. "Kenneth Andrews?" Arthur ask. They know each other?

"I'm not yet done with you! Watch out, b*tch." he warned me. Arthur tighten his hug even more. "He won't able to touch you, again." he rubbed my back, "I promise." why is he so sweet? I just hug him back. What does he want? Why did he came back?

He walk me to the kitchen, leaving Veronica on the living room, "You leave Veronica on the living room?" he nodded. He shouldn't leave her there, Kenneth can find a way to get Veronica away from me. "Lemme get her." he said when I was about to stand up. I drink the water he gave me. "What's up, b*tch?" I gasp. How could he enter this room? "I could always find to mess with you, Victoria. Even if it's risky." he grinned.

"Is mommy alright, dad?" I hear Veronica whisper. When Arthur saw Kenneth again, Arthur grab me near the door, "It's him." Veronica whispered.
