I feel someone shove my shoulders hard like somebody had pin me to the ground and then started to shake me. My eyes pop open as I wonder what is going on. "Huh?" I mumble to myself. "What's going on?"

I look around the room seeing a petite girl hovering over me. She has almond shape eyes and the lightest shade of blue you could ever seen. Her skin was fair and she has a few freckles underneath her eyes, some even on the tips of her nose. She has dirty blonde hair that is tied up into a messy ponytail. A few strands of hair swoop as it sneaks its way pass the hair tie.

"I think you had a nightmare" She states looking at me as if she is trying to study me. "Are you okay?" I nod my head and put my hand on top of it. An intense pain creeps its way as if I tried walking through a wall and failed.

"I guess so..." I trail off focusing more on my pain, then the girl in front of me. I can hear her mumble a few words about a goodnights sleep, but she passed it off when she held out her hand. I look up at her then look back down at her hands. Is she wanting me to shake her hand? I wonder... I take out my hand shaking hers lightly.

"Come on, shake on it like a business deal." I shake her hand harder this time leaving her with a pleasurable handshake. At least I hope I did. "There you go, that's better". I smile faintly and notice that the other girls in the room are still fast asleep and that some were even snoring away as if nothing happened. Well at least that's what it seems to me.

As the girls small hand was still in my hand, she begins talking. "Hi, I'm Mackenzie". "Hello I'm Eliza" I reply back. "I know who you are and I have to say I'm really interested in you." I give her a puzzle look. Does she not like guys? And even if she didn't why would she be interested in me? I don't even have breasts! "I'm honestly surprised that you were placed in Hufflepuff, because from what I heard from my brother, is that your family is a long line of Slytherin."

Not knowing what to do or say, I slightly smile at her while titling my head a bit.

"Oh I'm weirding you out, aren't I? I'm sorry. I'm just really curious about you and want to get to know you better. I know I sound crazy right now, but I think we can sorta relate to each other." She says while rambling on again. I rise my eyebrow and she continues to speak. "See, part of my family is in Slytherin, while the other parts are all over."

I can tell she means well and she does seem really friendly. It also wouldn't hurt to have a female friend that is in my common house. So with that I reach out my hand and asked if she wanted to start over. She nods gracefully and with that we reintroduce ourselves.

Soon after we began laughing our heads off as we were learning about each other. Mackenzie is the youngest out of four and her older brother, Justin, is in class 3 while her other older siblings have already graduated Hogwarts. I also learned that her favorite color is blue and that she is fascinated by muggles.
We stayed up all night talking and browsing through our books that were part of our school supplies when I asked her if she was hungry. By this time my stomach was having a marching band march though and the crowd is rumbling on. "Yes, I'm starving!" She blurts out as she places her hands on her stomach acting like she hasn't been fed in weeks.

"I wonder if its time that we can go down to the Great Hall?" I ask wondering as I get up from my bed. "I sure hope it is." Mackenzie says concern. "Well lets get ready and then we'll go down there and find out." I stated and she nodded as she went over towards her bed to get ready.
I get out my robes from my trunk and start to change out of my pajamas. Then I start to brush out my hair getting the small nots of hair that had form from last night. After that was finished, I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth feeling refreshed afterwards. As I made it back to the room Mackenzie was ready to go with her books in her hands. I smiled as I went over and grabbed mine. "Ready?" She asked. "Ready." I nod as we started to walk down the spiral staircase but tip toeing for many of those were still sleeping.
