The Hot Pink Backpack

It was a warm sunny spring day, perfect weather for an hike. Austin and a few friends decided on Pack Monadnock for their hike.
As they started up the mountain, they all heard someone screaming for help. Around the corner, Austin and his friends found a girl sitting on a log crying. When Austin approached her, he realized he knew her. Her name is Amber. Amber was a friend he hasn't seen in a few years. Shocked to find her on the same path, nevermind the same mountain, he slowly walked over to her and asked if she was the one screaming for help. She told him that she turned her back for a moment and someone grabbed her backpack. She told Austin that inside her bag is her cellphone and camera. She explained to Austin and his friends that she was up here for a school assignment.
Austin and his friends decided to see if they could find her bag for her. Austin asked her to describe her bag so if they could find it, they would know it's hers. Amber told Austin her bag was hot pink, fuzzy backpack, with floppy bunny ears. She told the boys that he took off up the mountain. Austin and his friends exchanged a weird look at each other, shrugged their shoulders and headed up the mountain in search of Amber's bag.
Austin and his friends reach a clearing by the top of the mountain. They see a young man, rummaging through a hot pink backpack with fluffy bunny ears.
The group of friends decide they are going to surround the young man. Austin asked him if he needed help . Startling the young man jumped.
Austin told the man that he knew the bag wasn't his and wanted it back. Austin was shocked to see the young man hand over the bag over, and started to cry.
Confused Austin asked why he took the bag. The young man told Austin and his friends that he was just looking for food, that he was starving and was hoping there was food in the crazy backpack.
Amber caught up to Austin and the boys. Austin explained to Amber the situation. The group of them came up with an idea.
They all decided to have a picnic inviting the young man to join all sat around laughing about the hot pink bag with fluffy ears. Afterwards everyone handed the young man money from their pockets.
