I remember when my dad told me about his life growing up. Back when I was 7, I met my best friend Mitch. It was at Olive Brooke elementary in 2nd grade. He was really shy, yet adorably cute. My dad is Scott. Forgot to mention he is bisexual. I was nervous to talk to him because I had trouble talking to others. But I mustered up my courage and went up to him and introduced myself. He looked at me and looked away quickly being embarrassed.
Hi, I told Scott. My name is Mitch...M-Mitch Grassi. He had smiled at me and sat next to me. He asked me all kinds of questions and he made me laugh. I wasn't shy anymore because I had my very first friend. I looked at my dad and smiled, putting my hair in a ponytail. Dad, tell me more about this Scott guy. I'm interested in him. He laughed and said "Sure". He told me about his high school life with Scott at Mellow East High. It was around 1986 that we became freshmen together. I had began to notice Scott had interest in me and soon I began feeling the same thing. I blushed as I held his hand. I nervously laughed and-

Wait, you were gay? Then how did you have me? He looked at me and told me Well sweetie...when you were about two years old, I adopted you and raised you on my own. I looked at him and awkwardly smiled. I wasn't mad at all. I was really happy. Me, Monique Grassi, raised by one of the world's greatest member of a legendary Acapella group. It was amazing ya know? I gave my dad a hug. I love you Daddy! I love, love, love you so much!! I could tell he was really happy by how tightly he hugged me. He began to cry. Sweetie, you are a gift to me and I will always love you. By blood or not, you are my daughter and you will always be my little pumpkin patch. I started to cry too. It was a very emotional night.POV- Mike
Dad? I asked him. What was it like to date Mitch? He looked at me and said "It was one hell of a ride, and I enjoyed it very much. Just like I enjoy having you around son." I was really happy to be the son of Scott Hoying, member of Pentatonix, the greatest Acapella group alive. I love you Father. I went up to him and gave him a big hug. Mike...I'm proud to call you my son. He gives me a hug and the night continuesThe Next Day- Mike's POV
I told my dad that I was going to the store to work and left out. When I got there, the owner, Mr. Fujikawa, was talking to a young lady, about 16. Aww, Mike. Come here my boy, meet your new co-worker Monique. She looked beautiful, more than anyone I ever met. She glanced at me and looked away. I blushed and scratched my head. Hi...um...I'm Mike. Hope we can work together. She shrugged her shoulder. Name's Monique, don't forget it. I laughed awkwardly and went to put my apron on. Weeks passed and I had gotten used to having a co-worker. I told Monique that I wanted to take her out. To her dismay, she declined. Though it kinda hurt, I was okay. I'm just a stranger to her anyway. I went back to my station and played That's Christmas to Me by PTX. She looked at me and smiled. You like Pentatonix? My dad is Mitch Grassi. I was surprised. Really?! My dad is Scott Hoying!! We laughed and we began to talk while listening to Christmas songs. I can certainly say I really was in love with this girl, just like my dad was in love with her dad.
