Questioning Feelings

~~~Hermione's POV~~~

I shot upright when I heard screaming coming from Adam's room. I ran to his room with my wand at the ready. I found Malfoy standing in the doorway. When he noticed me he put his finger to his lips. "Just listen."

"Mum!" Adam was curled up in a ball, he was crying and held his necklace in his hands. "MUM! Help me the monsters back."

"Petit ... Petit ...Vous êtes à l'abri des monstres.(Little one...little one...You are safe from the monsters.)" I heard Lilah's voice come from what I assumed was the charm. 

"Mum" I barely heard him whisper. "Berceuse?" I knew a little french but I didn't know what he was asking. The next thing I heard was a lullaby. 

Bonne nuit, mon ange

 "She has a beautiful voice. What is she singing? It sounds so familiar." I couldn't help but ask.

"She is singing Goodnight, my angel. From what she has told me her mother sang it to her before bed and now she sings it for Adam and Zach. I wonder who she is singing with."

"You mean that's not Sebastian?" I recognized the voice but I couldn't believe it was him. He doesn't even know French.

"No, he would be singing it in Bulgarian. You see to blend in at there schools they had to learn the languages. Lilah took Adam with her to school and Sebastian took Zach. Therefore they each listened to it in different languages. Lilah and Sebastian know the English one as well but I think is sounds better in French to be honest." I couldn't help but laugh.

"It sounds like Ron." I whispered.

"I wouldn't be surprised. They have known each other for years."

"What? I thought they only met because of the war."

"Oh no I guess they met during the Triwizard Tournament. Then were reunited when you were out hunting horcroxes. But what Lilah doesn't know is that Sebastian threatened him and that's why he left her the night she got raped. I'm assuming that's when he finally figured out how to get back to you and Potter." Malfoy explained to me.

I felt my heart drop. Did he not love me or even like me. I mean his kiss seemed off but I care about him. I couldn't help but ask. "How did they reconnect?" 

"I'm guessing a mission and she told him about trying to get you out safe. He does care about you." Malfoy added noticing her becoming worried. 

I was about to reply when I heard Adam say "Goodnight, mummy ... daddy." as he drifted off to sleep. 

My heart dropped. I decided to ask the question I don't think I wanted to know the answer too. "Why were they together this late at night?" In my head I was asking if he was cheating on me. Well I guess he and I technically aren't anything but I was still kinda worried. 

He sighed. "Honestly Hermione, I don't know. I know you are worried about it but let me show you something." Malfoy shut the door and stood face to face with me. "I can tell you are confused about your feelings and when I do this you should be able to figure the rest out yourself." My heart was beating quickly. He had backed me against the wall and took his hand to my chin and lifted up my face. Then what seemed like slow motion. The action of his tempting lips coming closer to mine. I froze, I couldn't to anything. But deep inside of me all I wanted was to feel his lips on mine. And that's what happened. I had closed my eyes. It was a simple, slow and caring kiss. I felt butterflies in my stomach and the serge to deepen it. It seemed to be over just as fast as it had happened. I couldn't believe it. By the time I had reopened my eyes he was gone. 

What just happened. Oh my gosh I just was kissed my Malfoy! Ron and Harry would be furious with me and not because I let it happen but because I kind of want it to happen again. I am so confused now. I don't know how I am going to sleep. The first thing I need to figure out is if I like Malfoy. I guess I can see how it goes while I am here.
