Myth Of Music (A Pokémon Fanfiction)

Prologue

Long ago, there was a mythical pokémon known as Meloetta. This pokémon was said to have a singing voice so beautiful, that it could create miracles for whoever she desired. Meloetta was a very kind and gentle pokémon, and shared a strong and unshakable bond with the queen who ruled the kingdom.

However, there were those who desired Meloetta's power for their own selfish desires. There was a bloody war between multiple factions all wanting control of the land. Crops were burned, villages were razed, the sky was black from burning forests, and countless pokémon were slaughtered.

In the final moments of the chaos the queen met a violent end, and Meloetta was there as she saw her fall to the ground dead.

Stricken with extreme sorrow and grief, Meloetta let loose a blood-curdling scream that resounded throughout the entire land. The entire continent trembled in an apocalyptic earthquake, and the kingdom collapsed below the sea, never to be seen again.

In the aftermath of this disaster, Meloetta, afraid of the war fought over her and the pain it brought, lost her voice. She vowed to never again let any one suffer the same fate as her beloved queen, and disappeared.

To this day, no one has ever seen Meloetta or the ruins of this kingdom, and have dismissed it as no more than a simple fairy tale.

And so begins a new legend of a girl afraid of the world, and the destiny that she must fulfill with the myth of music.
