I sat their in my last class bored out of my mind. I wish that Alex was in all my classes and not just honors chemistry. I guess not all of us can be in all honors classes. Alex was never good in english anyway. Using words was never really Alex's thing. Streets came into class late. Her face cheeks stained red and her eyes smudged black. She was looking down trying not to make eye contact with anyone. Since she got here so late, she had to sit in the crappy desk in the back of the room. the seat squeaks, the desk its self is chipping and its right under an air vent. Nobody asked if she was okay or why she was late. Everyone was scared of Streets and now that she was upset everyone was even more scared. They would act like she was not here to avoid being hollered at or getting physically hurt. Streets is know for her advanced violence. But their was one thing that I saw that no one else did. Streets wasn't just upset, she was crying. Streets cries once in a blue moon. She has always said 'suck it up kid, it could be worse. You could be dying. So dry up those tears because they make you look weak.' She had way to much street cred to let someone see her cry. The class just continued through as if she was invisible. I got my phone out and texted her.

Just stuff between Kyle and I. Don't worry about it kid, alrightI looked back at her.She knew that I was waiting for a legitament answer. She pointed at the bathroom sign out at t. I knew exactly what was going on. I felt so bad for streets. She's a strong girl but she always bows down when it comes to her boyfriend. He's awful to her all the time. I always wonder why she is still with him. He always makes her feel so bad about herself and is always yelling at her. It gets everybody so upset that she won't let him go. They must have got in another fight again. She usually sprints to the bathroom when she gets in a fight with Kyle (her boyfriend). She knows that he won't ever get caught going in there. She gets so scared of him but she won't let him go. It's so sad that she would just let someone treat her the way that he does. The whole class she wouldn't talk to anyone or look at anything other than her books.
Class ended and Streets was trying to leave as fast as she could. She was so angry and upset she tripped over her shoe lace and then over the leg of her desk. She ended up being the last one to leave. Streets just sat there and cried with no intension of getting up. It was the first time in along time that I've seen Streets in a state of panic. Everyone fears Streets and now she is in tears scared. I went over to her and put my hand on her shoulder. She snapped her head back and punched me in the shin. She was so shaken by recent events that her punch wasn't strong enough to hurt me.
"Go away Johnny." She said trying to collect all her books. I helped her anyway. She took out her phone and was scrolling on something. I looked over her shoulder to see she was scrolling through some old text messages from her and Kyle.
"I wouldn't know how to move on from a fight with my other, but I don't think reminiscing through old text messages is going to help." I told Streets. I don't think she heard me because she was smiling like an idiot when this one picture came up. She even giggled a little bit. Putting giggled and Streets in the same sentence is not in any way in the norm.
"Johnny let me tell you, you guys tell me all the time to let him go, but something about him makes me stay." Streets said. She couldn't take her eyes of the picture. It was them from the beach during the summer of 2014. That was one of the few times they were actually happy together.
"I don't think that looking at pictures from forever ago is going to help you right now." I said.
"Oh Johnny boy, you just don't get it. You're not in a relationship." She said as if I was so much younger than her. She walked out of the room without a thank you, but whatever. I was about to walk out of the room when I saw Streets and Kyle making out in the hallway. I always thought she was smarter than this.
