FUTURE WORLD

Prologue

Earth has been suffering from global warming for the last 100 years, it wasn't until the last 70 years until it really took a toll on us. Everyone says it, one day the world is going to end. No one knows when but we all know it's going to happen. My name is Thomas Frank I have blue eyes and dark brown hair I tower over almost everyone at school, that includes my girl friend Tessie, so as you expect it's pretty hard to kiss her. She has bright blonde hair and beautiful green eyes. I met Tessie when I was 7 years old along with my other friend Sarah she has dark brown eyes and pink dyed hair I don't think I've ever seen her before without pink dye in her hair.

We are all 15 years old. Now to my family, I have a mother named Marice who always blathers about the end of the world coming, a father named Bob who always reassures her it won't be in our lifetime, and a sister named Debbie who is 8 years old who freaks out every time the end of the world is mentioned from my mother's mouth! We're the Frank's family. Tessie however has a much bigger family she has three brothers named Eddie the oldest at 12 years old, Brock the second oldest at 10 years old, and Ted who is 7 years old. Tessie's parents are Rosie Dunker and Vincent Dunker or as I call them Mr. and Mrs. Dunker. Sarah is an only child her father died when she was 5 but she always says at least she has her mother, Tessie, and me. Her mother's name is Liz Saker. Now this may seem like a happy story now but that is all going to change later in the story.

PART ONE
Chapter one: The Big News!

Since you already know who I am let's get down to the story. It's a beautiful Saturday morning in New York City (as usual because of global warming and it's summer) it's not too hot so that's good (because that's all we get around here). It's 10:00 in the morning I think oh no being this late for school is going to ruin my perfect citizenship grade! But then comes something unexpected
" Thomas breakfast is ready!"
Oh thank god it's Saturday. I then run downstairs for breakfast.
" Oops I meant Thomas what do you want for breakfast?"
Says my mother probably quite agitated with me for staying in bed late.
" Mom why are you always so cranky when I sleep in?" I ask.

"Well I'm not normally cranky about you staying in bed except for this is your first Saturday meeting for fencing and you know how Ms. Na We yells at me on the phone for what seems hours about how unacceptable you are! "
She says as her icy blue eyes staring coldly into mine, I have my mom's blue eyes and brown hair.
" Ugh I hate Ms. Na We she probably scheduled it for
Saturday on purpose, everyone knows in this neighborhood how late a sleeper I am."
My mom just looks at me like she forgot to tell me something but I continue anyways.
"The only reason I stay is because one fencing is fun and two I'm the best fencer in my class."
Ok I can't handle that look anymore so I say. "Mom what is it?"
"Oh right I forgot to tell you fencing is at 10:15 today and it's 10:10."
"Now you tell me this!" "Just run over there now!"

"In my pajamas no way!"
Yes as you can guess I'm late again.
"Well you better get dressed in like, a minute."
She says.
Oh let me explain what New York City is like now,New York City is split in four parts. The Apartment Section where you'll find the apartments for people who either don't have enough money or don't need that big of house, the Tourism Section where you'll find all your hotels and tour guides, then there's the Business Section where you'll find tourists checking out the Empire State Building and Time Square etc but that's also where people go to work, and finally the Homes Section this where you'll find all the neighborhoods with families, and people that just like a big house. Nowadays in New York City you either fly a flying car, you ride an automatic moving bike, or you go on the moving sidewalks which will ask where you want to go and take you there, enough explaining I think.
