Dream Catcher

Chapter Five~ Carly

To say I hated these boys would be an exaggeration. I disliked them, but not as much as I had in the past, before the Harry incident. Now I'm able to stand them, but only because of Louis. He was funny, clever, and handsome, but I don't believe I could ever have a relationship with him. Also, his girlfriend Eleanor sounds very nice, and he said that he would have us get together some time, not that I'd be with these boys often.

I was broken out of my thoughts by a shout, which seemed to have come from Niall, "Louis, give me my Nando's! I paid for that!" I laughed as the blonde Irishman chased the brunette around the room, Louis holding up a Nando's take-out bag. Niall looked over in my direction for a brief moment, then turned back to the bloke who had stolen his food. The blonde haired boy jumped onto Louis' back, lurching forward to grab the bag. The brunette threw the bag over to Zayn, who was sitting in a fluffy black chair, laughing as the scene played out in front of him. He was shocked at first, but then collected himself and ran off as the hungry Irish boy leaped off Louis' back and charged toward the Pakistani lad. A sudden, deep Cheshire voice cut them off, making them all freeze in their places, " Quit it, now."

A sudden cold feeling coursed through my veins at the anger in his voice. The curly haired bloke hadn't even looked up from his phone, yet managed to catch everyone's attention. Slowly, he slipped his phone into the pocket of his tight chinos and stood up. The lads all took a step back, except a certain blonde Irish boy, who just smirked and strolled over to the red leather couch pressed against the wall, casually throwing his body onto it. When the Cheshire boy looked up, his emerald eyes met my chocolate ones, making my body freeze further. His irises were filled with anger, annoyance, and... guilt? Not probable. Why would he feel guilty?

"Zayn, hand Niall his food. Louis, sit your large bum down before I kick it to Canada. Niall, stop smirking like an idiot. Liam, stop drooling over your phone. Carly......." He drifted off, breaking eye contact the moment he said my name. His sudden burst of anger dispersed, his cheeks flushed, and he sat back down. I looked at each of the boys in turn, all of their eyes wide, mouths gaping. All the sudden, a loud chuckle filled the air, breaking the awkward silence. I snapped my gaze over to Niall, who had curled up with laughter. Soon, all the lads were laughing, except Harry. I stared at him, and his eyes connected with mine. I quickly snaked my phone out of my bag, staring at the screen intently. Two texts caught my attention.

From Caroline:

Hey, I just wanted to let you know I won't be home tonight, I'm staying with Colleen.

From Unknown Number:

Hey love, it's Louis. You should really guard your phone better, I easily got your number. xx

I started to chuckle quietly along with the boys, but only because of the Doncaster boys message. He looked over at me questioningly, then saw I was staring at my phone and caught on. He walked over to me, sitting down on the chair he previously occupied next to me. The brunette leaned over my shoulder, looking at the screen. He expertly pulled the phone from my hand, adding his number to my contact book. A moment later, the Doncaster boy handed my phone back to me, then skipped off to fight for the food again, completely ignoring Harry's orders.

I felt a presence next to me, and looked to my right to see Harry in the chair Louis, just moments earlier, had been occupying. My eyes widened as he leaned toward me, only to sneak my phone out of my hands once more, as Louis had.

"What are you doing?" I inquired, leaning over his shoulder as he silently tapped away at the screen. He looked over briefly, a smirk displayed on his features. "Adding your number, too?"

He scoffed, but nodded discreetly. I slouched back in the chair, folding my thin arms. The Cheshire boy looked at me before chuckling, then proceeded to set the white iPhone on my leg. I stared at him, dumbfounded, as he pulled himself out of the chair bad walked out the door, shutting it softly behind him. Who did this boy think he was and how did he manage to settle into my life?

I huffed, throwing my bag onto the grey chair, shutting the door behind me. I slid off my shoes and rubbed the soles of my feet, which were sore from walking in heels. I had gotten home around midnight, and I was exhausted from those boys. They'd taken me out to dinner at a nice, secluded restaurant, which was considerate of them. I got to know a little about each of them, and how they became a group. As you can tell, I'm not exactly a fan of these boys.

Walking through the dark hall, I started to unzip the tight blue dress so I could change into pajamas. I flicked on my bedroom light and walked straight to my dresser. I pulled out grey sweats and a blue band shirt, slipping them on. I quickly reached under the blue fabric and unhooked my bra, letting it fall off my body and to the floor. Not bothering to pick it up, I turned to my bed and shrieked at what I saw.

"Austin? What are you doing here?" I yelled at my brother, who just sat on my bed, relaxing. He smirked at me before turning away, " What, I can't visit my little sister?"

"Not when it's past midnight and you didn't even call." I grumbled, walking over and smacking him on the back of the head, causing a pained sound to erupt from his throat. A thought suddenly struck my mind, "How'd you even get in, and how long we're you there?" Okay, maybe two thoughts. He softly chuckled, getting those wrinkles by his eyes and that right dimple I was always so jealous of.

"I've been here a while, since Caroline came home around half seven with her friend, to get her things, and she let me in. Seeing its," he paused to look at the time on his Rolex watch, " half twelve now, I've been here about five hours. And yes, I looked away when I saw you were getting changed. I can't believe you didn't notice me." This sent him in to a fit of laughter. Oh, how I loved my brother.

[A/N: sorry it's short, it seems that it's harder to write longer chapters on an iPod-which is the only way I write these- than on a computer -which is how I edit if I need to. MERP? I'll try to upload soon(:]
