song of the chapter; right hand by drake

ashton bounced in his chair, making it squeak and shift. people sitting close to him sent rude glares but he didn't notice.
"dude, fucking stop." his friend calum groaned with a mouth full of salad. the boy simply flipped him off and went back to his uncontrollable bouncing. calum swallowed his food and kicked ashton's shin sharply, forcing a grunt out of him.
"ouchie." he grumbled and held his leg. "what crawled up your ass and died?"
calum pushed his glasses up his nose, rolling his eyes. "bite me."
the tan boy wiggled his eyebrows and took a bite of his burger. the two heard a loud noise at the other side of the cafeteria, turning their heads to see. a group of seniors paraded past them, laughing and chatting.
a certain blonde caught ashton's eye, arm linked in a tall brown-eyed boy's. she had her neck craned up to talk to him, as she wasn't very tall - 5'3 at the most. the bunch of them joined the line to buy lunch, still being just as loud and disruptive.
"damn seniors, they never actually shut up." calum said. "I've noticed that much."
ashton frowned, eyes still attached to lucy. they raked over her petite body, hungrily imagining what was underneath. calum noticed the action and whipped his head around to see what he was looking at. he immediately burst out laughing.
"are you kidding me?" he said between chuckles. "no way, she's way too hot man."
ashton rested his head against the table, covering it with his arms and groaning loudly. "I KNOW."
"is that her boyfriend or something?" the kiwi turned back to him, referring to the boy she was talking to. ashton huffed and lifted his head up, chin resting on his arms.
"I don't know." he glared at the guy and returned his gaze to lucy. she looked up and their eyes met for a brief period, a smirk coating her lips. she spun around on her toes and collected her food, bringing it to a table close to their's.
the group followed behind her and kept on with their antics, but she stayed silent. her legs crossed and hair tossed over her shoulders, she picked up a cupcake that sat on her tray.
with a swift flick of her finger, she scooped up a lump of icing, still focused on the boy. his eyes widened as she slipped her finger into her mouth slowly, sucking all of the icing off. her lips curled into a smile and she turned to one of her friends again, never turning back.
"dude...." ashton breathed.
