Since I first arrived two days ago been to see the Cherry blossom trees, to many cafes and shopping. My phone has been handy with me being here. :-)
That morning I woke to kids singing. My neighbours were up so I got up. Looking out my window I see many people out and about. Now I didn't have a plan of what I would do, I just wanted to see things. After locking my door with my bag, wallet, phone and keys I head out into Korea. Being here I in spring meant it was the season for blossoms. I heard they had trees that look similar to snow, only these were white with pinks petals. I wanted to see this for my own eyes. It was still cold out and after getting a hot chocolate I head towards the trees. I could see it from the Starbucks near my hotel. Walking I listen to music and drink my hot drink. I'm slightly annoyed that I missed the snow. I live in a country with I don't see the snow but I'm happy to see something similar.
Walking in to the Cherry Blossom Trees I look up and see petals fall. It seem like scene from a movie. I couldn't help but be happy. Sticking hand out i see if and petals would in my hand and upon catching them I feel a gust of wind blow past me. Blowing petals and my fallen hair in my face. Stumbling to get back into my stance again I see the guy from the cafe. We exchanged looks as people walked past. I turn to head away from him and continued to enjoy my surroundings. I took photos of the scenery and the couples enjoying the snow-like petals. I saw him again watching me only I didn't make any eye contact. Something about him made he feel weird. I never felt like this before and I haven't said a single word to him and didn't want to be here any longer. He made my heart beat randomly out of beat. Nearly at the end of the blossom walkway I see a park and turn back to take a panorama shot of my scenery.
Back at my hotel room I drop off my shopping bags and head down to find some food to eat. I see a supermarket not far from the hotel that I go get food and find a small table to sit and eat. As I eat I see some kids looking in a rubbish bin. Their clothes were ripped and had holes in it. So I left my food on the table and get more food. Sure enough they take the food on the table and eat. My heart broke in empathy. I knew what they were going through. I quietly head outside and place the plastic bag of food on the table and the older boy looks at me confused. The little girl hides behind the boy. Saying nothing I hold back tears as this is all I could do and watch them take the bag and food. Bowing they leave. I placed various things in the bag. Food, drinks, cleaning wipes and 80,000won ($100). After they left I got me more food and ate it knowing the tears I held back are going to fall.
Back at the hotel I bump into that same guy, just my luck. Bowing then about walk away. He grabs my arm and takes me outside towards a car. Opening the door I run back inside and up the stairs to my floor then my room. Locking my door and hiding in my bathroom I cry my self to sleep on the floor.
Looking on my phone for possible flights back to New Zealand there isn't available until 3 days from now. I booked that flight. So I had 3 day to kill. Only a few days until I'm back to my normal life.
