Caroline

Chapter 1 "Cry Baby"

The delivery room. Friday, 13th February 1998, 00:00 sharp.

Nurse: "Doctor, we're losing her, no heartbeat."

Mr. Crook : "Save the baby! Please!"

Doctor: "She's stuck, we have to do an open surgery."

Nurse: "Sir we're gonna have to ask you to step out"

Mr. Crook waited for hours, restless, anxious, agitated. Walking back and forth in that dark hallway, when the Doctor came to him, "Sir we are sorry, we've tried everything but your wife and her fetus didn't survive". Mr. Crook felt like his world shattered, he lost his hope. He said thankyou to the doctor and went home, ever since, he became a drug addict and was never sober.

A day after, the morgue keeper at the hospital heard a baby's cry from the mortuary. Under one particular white sheet, it had blood all over the sheet. He opened the sheet, and what he found was anything but possible. He found a baby girl, from a dead body. He couldn't believe his eyes so he threw the sheet, accidentally pushed the dead body's table then ran away looking for a doctor. The baby fell to the ground, so pale and still covered in blood and kept crying.

Doctors and detectives rushed to the scene. Everybody were shocked as hell, it wasn't humane, it's impossible. They tested the baby's blood, it was pitch black, but it had Mr. Crooks DNA which meant that it's his daughter, or, ex-dead daughter I should say. So they called Mr. Crook and he hurried to the hospital to take his baby,  he was so excited.

The baby wouldn't stop crying, Mr. Crook ran into the hospital, he looked sick, drunk, and insane. When he held the baby, she was as cold as ice, but Mr. Crook didn't care, he was crying happy tears, carried her left and right trying to calm her down, and said "I'm gonna call you, Caroline".

Caroline kept on crying, the doctors and detectives tried to tell Mr. Crook that there is something wrong, but he didn't care. He took Caroline home, sang her lullabies until she stops crying.
