I looked at the pool in horror. The last time I was in a pool I almost drowned, the water almost taking my life away. Every time I looked at a pool I start to shake uncontrollably. This was one of those times. An enemy of mine knew my fear and locked me in their backyard that happened to have a huge pool. I backed away from it as much as possible, but I still looked at it in horror. I looked in every place that I possibly could to get out of the prison. I cringed down as I thought the water was attacking me, but when I glanced at the pool from under my arm, the water was perfectly still. The fence blocked me from escaping. The longer that I stared at the fence it seemed to get longer like it was working with the pool to drive me insane. A panic attack rose within my chest, as i was not able to get out. I felt like I was being smothered the area I was in suddenly shrinking. I crouched down in the fetal position trying to think of anything to get my mind off of the pool. I screeched when I felt rough hands grab my shoulders. I was tossed into the air and I almost died when I felt the water rush up around me. I thrashed trying to get to the surface, but I could not swim. I sank the air slowly depleting from my blood. Gentle hands pulled me up from the water and I was able to breathe again. I looked up to see a stranger holding me in his arms. I cried and covered my face in my hands. This man saved me from the water, which made my fear of water less than it was before.
