Instinct: An Endless Slave Train?

It is a thing, a thing so primitive, that is hard-wired into every living being, from the simplest of bacteria to the highly advanced primates. However, when you think about it, our decisions, everything in our lives, is controlled by this, this thing, which means we are slaves. Slaves to our instinct. Instinct is a slave train from which we can never escape. We are born into it. However, if some species breaks free of instinct, it will inevitably die out.
