Back To Hogwarts-
Arabella's pov
I grasped onto the parcel Uncle Harry gave me and followed Madeline and Teddy to an empty compartment. Teddy nervously looked out the window as we reached the countryside. "Teddy, don't be nervous!" I chirped.
"Easy for you to say you're a second year!" He barked. I let out a giggle and sat down next to him. "I'm so nervous!"
"Calm down!" Both Madeline and I said. "Honestly the only nerve wracking part is getting sorted. But it's also very easy. You just gotta sit there!"
"What're the houses again?" Teddy asked.
"Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin." I recited. "Try to get in Gryffindor! That's where me and Maddie are." Teddy nodded. "Plus its the best house overall!" I squeaked.
"I beg to differ." A new voice said. All three of us turned our heads to the compartment door. There stood a brown haired, grey eyed boy.
"And who are you?" I asked, puffing out my chest and sticking up my nose.
"Elliot, Second year." He replied.
"Arabella, Second year." I snapped. "So what house do you think is better?" He let out a chuckle and smiled.
"I was just kidding Bells." He replied. My heart skipped a beat. "I mean, I have to show some house pride. So Slytherin." He paused. "Though I have to admit Gryffindor has a wicked quidditch team." I let out a laugh and smiled.
"Well Elliot I think we can agree on one thing then." I looked around my compartment and saw the awkwardness. "Umm- I think I'll get some candy from the trolley. Care to join me Elliot?" He nodded and smiled. I grabbed some Sickles and put the parcel for Professor McGonagall on the shelf above and followed Elliot out. "So Elliot, why haven't I seen you around before?" I asked.
"Oh. Well, I've noticed you, but I'm awfully quite really." He said shyly. "You have quite the brains by the way." He complimented. I smiled as we approached the candy lady.
"Two chocolate frogs and a cauldron cake." I asked. She handed me the sweets and I handed her the required sickles. Elliot got a pack of Bertie Botts and a Licorice wand.
"Hey who do you think is going to be Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher? I hear that Professor Mason disappeared." He asked. My heart shattered at this. No one except for Madeline me, and the staff at Hogwarts knew that Professor Mason was my mum. My face fell slightly.
"U-Um I don't know. P-Professor Mason w-was a great teacher." I stuttered, trying to hold back the tears. Elliot noticed my sudden change in emotion and gently put a hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He asked gently. I took a breath and looked into his eyes.
"Can you keep a secret?" I whispered. He nodded and gave an understanding smile. "Well, Professor Mason was my mother, and the little ghost boy is my brother. Umm, do you remember who Bellatrix Lestrange was?" He nodded. "Well she came back as a demon thing and tried to kill me and my dad. But my mother wouldn't have it so she sacrificed her last means of life here on earth and well passed on. She save my life.." I finished. Out of nowhere, I felt arms around me. Elliot was giving me a firm hug and I hugged him tightly.
"Hey. If it helps, your mum was the best teacher at Hogwarts by far." I let out a laugh and wiped a tear. "And don't cry because she's gone, cry because she was here."
