CHAPTER 1

A NEW BEGINNING

Ed was a curious boy. He was always lost in his imagination and day dreams. He was tall but skinny, and had long brown hair with blonde tips. He had been to 16 different schools because of his "visions". But enough about him, lets talk about the biggest adventure in his life.

It was Ed's 17th school, and he was still having visions. He had dreamed about a passage behind a cabinet in his new class room. He had been sent to Saint Tomas School for the Gifted this time. On his first day, he walked into his new classroom, met his class and teachers and sat down in his seat. First period was algebra, and he was sitting there day dreaming when he saw out of the corner of his eye......a cabinet, the very same one that he'd seen in his dream. "Freaky", he thought, then drifted back into his daydream.

So caught up in his daydreaming, Ed didn't realise his name had been called to answer a question. First day and he received a lunch time detention. As he sat in the detention classroom feeling bored, the teacher said "I'm going to go to lunch. If I find that you have left, I will send you straight to the headmaster!"and looked at Ed menacingly. The teacher left the room, and Ed sat there staring at the the cabinet. He sat there daydreaming for the rest of his detention. The rest of the day flew by, and when he went to bed that night, he was thinking about the cabinet as he drifted into sleep.
