The Alpha's Mate

The Meeting

Waiting in my room I start feeling nervous about my dad meeting Luke. I start to ask all kinds of questions. Like what if dad doesn't like him? What if Luke says something wrong? What if my brothers try to start a fight?

Coming back to the present I realize it's about time for Luke to be here. I bite my nails thinking about him. I hope dad likes him. Then the doorbell rings. I get up and run downstairs. Hoping not to fall in my wedges.

Opening the door I see Luke. He has on black joggers and a white button down shirt and white jordans. Handing me a tulip he leans in to kiss my cheek. But a growl stops him from kissing it.

"Hold it right there pup." My dad says.
" Dad," I say.
"Introduce the boy I'm not getting any younger," he says.

Opening the door letting Luke in I close the door behind him. Luke looks around then smiles at me. Making me smile back.
A growl breaks the moment turning our attention back to my father who has a scowl on his face.

Stepping forward Luke introduces himself. I watch with a nervous expression. Hoping my dad will accept him. After awhile they stop talking then just stare at each other. Finally my dad holds his hand out. Luke takes his hand and shakes it.

"Pleasure to meet you Luke," dad says.
"You too sir,"
"Try anything on my daughter and will kill you,"
"I won't sir," Like says while nervously shifting on his feet.
"Leave him alone dad," I say stepping in.
"I was just saying, he needs to know not to mess with my baby girl,"
"I understand sir I would never do anything to hurt her,"
"You better not Alpha or not I'll tear you apart,"
"Well we should get going," I say to lighten the mood.
"Yea you should have a goodnight kids," dad says.
"Thanks daddy," I say giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Walking out Luke grabs my hands. I smile up at him. Thinking the Moon Goddess gave me a wonderful mate.

"Have I told you you look beautiful tonight," he says.
"No,"
"Well you do,"
"Thank you and you look pretty good too," I say smiling at him. He leans down finally kissing my cheek. He jerks up hearing a faint growl while I laugh at him. He grumbles while taking my hand and leading me to his car. This could be a good date after all. I think smiling to myself.
