I had everything I could possibly want at the age of 22. Cars, houses, money, wealth, family, friends, and clothes you name it I got it. And the list goes on. On top of that, the man of my dreams. Some days I would wake up and say why me? Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for everything I earn or receive. But, I was beginning to feel some things are not quite right in my world anymore.

"Baby, the limo downstairs you ready to go," said Kenny, as he adjusted his black tie by the doorway. The house was quiet since Leeana was not here. The only noise I was hearing was the sweet voice of Amel Larrieux echoing through my beats speakers.

Today is our engagement party and I couldn't be more happier. September 7, this day would not only marked a new chapter of our lives but the anniversary of our seven years being together.

"Kenny, what are you still doing here, it bad luck for you to see me right now," I called out, applying a thin line of black liquid gel beneath my dark brown eyes to give a nice finish.

"Says who ?" Kenny grinned, revealing those pearl whites of his.  "Our wedding is not for another month from now."

"Yes, I do." He shooked his head. His beautiful brown eyes watch me while I struggle to put on this eyeliner. I looked up in the mirror. "What are you staring at?"I asked.

"Nothing." He scanned my face with his eyes, then looked at the ground.

"What tell me?" I got up and walked to where he is standing. I lift up his chin up. "What on your mind?"

Kenny cleared his throat. "I don't know how you put up with me all these years. But, I'm glad you did. I love you so much, Mercedes. "My stomach turned into knots as the words left his lips. "I gotta be the world's luckiest guy. You truly are my everything bae. These few months need to hurry up, so you could be Mrs. Robinson already." He reached and took my hand in his.

"I love you too bae, and trust me no one is more excited to get this wedding over with. I have been literally getting no sleep since I started planning this. Plus, I want to fast forward to the honeymoon already."

"Oh really?"He asks, snaking his arm around my waist.

"Mhmm." I nodded and bit down on my lips.

"Can't wait to unwrap that present of yours, the night of our wedding." He whispers against my neck, sending cold shivers down my spine.

"Oh is that so..." I chuckled. As on cue, he rose his head up and kissed my lips gently. Then trailed from my jaw then back to my neck. "Umm," I whispered, pulling my lips away from his. "We both know where this will go if you don't stop."

"Come on just 10 minutes." He says, shuffling with his belt buckled.

"Nope," I said, heading back to my vanity but, he swiftly pick me up and my legs immediately wrapped around his waist.  "Put me down." I pouted. He placed a million and one kisses all over my face. "Stop!" I chuckled, tryna remove myself from him only to be pulled closer. Kenny pinned me against our bedroom doorway and placed one hand on my backside. His index finger held my face close to his. Our foreheads touching, eye to eye. Within seconds he leaned in and kissed me. Our tongue wrestled with one another, while a couple of moans escaped from both of us. With rising manhood grinning against my thigh, he slid his hand into the hem of my white dress when his phone rang.

"Really ?" I roll my eyes. With one finger up, Kenny excused himself. I scoff, pulling down my dress and head back to my vanity, I gave my lashes volume with a bit of mascara. This nigga always on the phone whether it the ass crack of dawn or late at night.I guess that what happens your fiancé is the CEO of a multi-million private equity firm.  The calls comes in and at all hours, even on the holidays or family vacation. Kenny and I have been together since high school days, we met in freshman chemistry class when Mrs. James asked us to pick a partner for our final project of the year and since I was not a fan of science, I was in no rush to pick a partner. Irritated I rolled my eyes, why do teachers always make you partnered up with someone, why can't we do it ourselves?  I plopped open my notebook and began scribbling flowers at the corner of my notes when this young man walked over. He hovered over my desk and said, "Do you wanna be partners ?"
Confused as to why he came to me out of all the people he could've partnered up with I said, "Umm, you ain't have nobody else to partner with?"
