I stood there watching him as he moved closer to me, he wore a dark adidas jacket and jeans, he had on a pair of white Nike sneakers with a red stripe on them, his hair was spiked up. As he came closer I still did not recognize who he was. My friends commented on how they though he was good looking. He walked up and stopped in front of me, he began to speak in a faint voice “elm hey, I was wondering if I could have you number” his mates stood behind and began to snigger I looked at them and asked what their problem was, they expressed how the did not think a girl as good looking as me would go for a lad like him I should be talking to one of them. There friend felt embarrassed and began to walk away, just then I got down of the wall pulled him back and kissed him. To me it was a magical moment, I could picture fireworks going of behind us, I was brought back to reality by the load shouts of his mates as they could not believe what happened “omg she just kissed him, what the hell , ah here, I think its time we left”
As they walked of I looked at the boy and smiled, he smiled back and whispered “thanks” I think my mates where right he was good looking and he seemed like a nice chap I felt I had to give it a shot, I asked him if he still wanted my number he replied with a simple yes. After we exchanged numbers and our names he headed of home. My mates all looked at me with big grins on their faces, they start asking a lot of questions like what’s his name is he a good kisser, I replied “his names Andrew and yes he is”. we where on our summer holidays and decided what we should do for the summer, I looked at my friends and laughed as I said never mind the rest of the summer what about today.
It was sunny, there was no clouds in the sky and it was so warm you could see the heat wave pass through the field, it looked like a steak of water the way it flowed by. We had all decided the weather was nice enough to go for a walk. We headed towards the park and flaked out on the grass and enjoyed the sun, it was peaceful although we could hear little children screaming and shouting in the park.. After relaxing for an hour we decided to go get some food, we headed to the nearest mc Donald’s to buy their magnificent mc flurry’s. we describe them to be heaven in a cup, as we walked home eating our ice cream we talked of what to do the day, someone suggested we go back to the park, another suggested we go shopping, I felt seen as we where getting good weather the beach sounded like a good idea, everyone agreed. When we got home we all arranged to ask our parents for money to head to the beach.
As the night began to fall and the sun went in it began to get cold, I decided to head in early. I looked at my phone, I had two new messages from Andrew, at first we start talking about the usual what you up to, plans for tomorrow etc. I had told him of our plan to go to the beach if he wanted to tag along, he agreed. As we sat up half the night talking on the phone it felt like we had known each other for years and not two people who jus met. It was amazing how quickly we got along. I began to feel tired and headed to bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell into a deep sleep.
When I woke the next morning the sun again was shinning we had the same good weather as the day before. I couldn’t wait to got to the beach, we would have some laugh. After I had breakfast with my mum and dad they headed of to work and I headed upstairs to pack my things for the day, just as I was finished I heard a knock on the door, I answered it to find Andrew standing in a pair of denim shorts and a blue t-shirt, he looked so handsome as he stood there. I invited him in, we sat in the kitchen and had some tea and biscuits while we waited for the others. We learned how both me and Andrew had so much in common, just like me he was a fan of Take That and he loved to play football. Then he asked me something unexpected “ Leslie will you go out with me” I looked at him in shock it took me a while to answer him but when I finally did I said “yes” he walked over to me placed his arms around my waist as I placed my arms around his neck he kissed me. We were a couple.
At 11:00 we headed to the bus stop to meet the others, they were all waiting at the bus shelter with their boyfriends, they all new me and Andrew hooked up before we could even tell them. We all stood at the shelter joking and laughing to pass the time. When the bus arrived we all paid our fair and headed upstairs. The journey into town was quite nobody spoke. When we arrived in town we made our way to the train station. As we waited on platform 5 Selena and her boyfriend Martin began to argue, they where arguing over the fact he wanted to take their relationship further but she was not ready to do so. The rest of us had to pull them both away form each other telling both to cop on it wasn’t a conversation they should be having here and not to spoil our day. The train finally came, we all got on and went to find seats close to each other. We where on the train for at least an hour and didn’t arrive in bray till 1:00.
We found the sandy part of the beach and placed the blanket down, me and the other girls changed into our bikinis in the bathrooms and then went for a paddle in the sea. It was unbelievably hot, when we reached the sea the water was cool, it was just what we needed. As we splashed around in the water messing the lads where on the beach and playing football Benjamin was the only one sitting down taking pictures of the rest of us as we enjoyed ourselves. The view of the mountains behind the beach was amazing, you could see the cross that sat at the top from where we were sitting. We walked back up to the lads got something to eat and suggested we hike the mountain to the cross. The lads all agreed it was a good idea and a good way to pass time. We all then gathered up our stuff headed to the bathrooms to get changed. when we where done we all headed to the bottom of the mountain and began our hike.
As we walked up the mountain Ben was still taking millions of photos, he also got some of m and Andrew standing together alone. We had so much fun gearing the lads as they complained the needed a break. We refused them that break using the excuse we wanted to reach the top before the sun goes down, as we all held hands with our partners a stranger walked boy us and shouted towards us “what’s this couples retreat” we all laughed at him as we walked on. Finally we reached the top of the mountain, as we stood there and looked out towards the ocean we forget everything that was going on, we all stood there in a daze as we took in the view. It was amazing you would never see something as beautiful as this on ground level. We got a women who had walked to the top with her children to take a picture of the group of us together making sure to get the scene of the ocean in it so we could treasure this moment. We decided to sit and rest at the top for a while. I walked over to Andrew as he stood looking out at the view he then looked at me and said “to me you are as beautiful as the view we look out upon and I’m lucky to be the one that can kiss something of that beauty” my heart sank as he spoke those words to me, the moment was so romantic, I leaned closer to him and kissed him as I whispered “the beauty can kiss you as we stand looking out at the beauty of the ocean” that was a moment I will never forget, the warm feeling in my belly as my lips touched his and the breeze from the ocean helped make it the perfect moment.
Unfortunately the trip had to end we headed back home after our wonderful trip to the beach. I was exhausted after that. When I arrived home I told my mum all about our adventure up the mountain and how it made the kiss more special to both me and Andrew. I then headed to bed as I felt tired, I lay in remembering the breeze and how the day had become so special to me, I couldn’t wait for the rest of the summer to begin and to share it with someone gave me the warm feeling in my heart as I fell asleep hoping he felt the same way as I did.
The next few weeks me and Andrew did more stuff together with just the two of us, we where together three weeks. We both decided it was time to meet the family. I introduced him to my parents, at first my dad was not happy he still likes to think of me as his little girl but he relaxed a little when he got to know Andrew a bit more. When I met his family I was so shy, his mother welcomed me as part of their family already, she said she was happy that I made Andrew happy and that was good enough for her. His dad was also nice, he just wanted what was best for his son ad he believes I can be the one to make him happy. After meeting the family we felt closer to each other, it was like we where both where we belonged, although we did have a few arguments we got through them and will keep doing so if we just talk to each other and give each other the love we deserve.
