Ok, here's a long chapter as an apology for not updating like usual. It was a pretty busy weekend and I nearly lost my sanity. I hope you enjoy it~

Shikamaru's POV

Did he just... say engaged? But, Manami doesn't even know this guy!! She doesn't even know he exists! Is it an arranged marriage?

"Don't lie to us. Are you really engaged? Is it arranged? If so, how did you guys know she was even alive? You said she hasn't been home in a while. What made you think she wasn't dead?" The questions just pouring out of my mouth.

But Hideyoshi didn't answer any of them. "Like I said, if you want to find out more, you'll have to find out when I tell her if she decides to allow you to know." He said.

Hideyoshi's POV

Shikamaru Nara. He seems pretty attached to Manami. Are they dating? I hope for their sake that they are not, because that would be bad for them. I guess we'll just have to find out how we'll deal with all this.

We made our way to the room they had Manami in. When I walked in, she was sleeping. I say sleeping because I know she's not dead. The others walked in and gasped quietly. I don't blame them, despite Tenshi's obvious healing, she did look like death took over her soul.

Shikamaru walked up to her and moved a stray hair out of her face and kept his hand there, just caressing it with his thumb. So they are dating after all. That's not going to end well. That's obvious.

Yuika and Akumu walked up to her carefully and stared at her, their emotions most likely everywhere. I sighed annoyed and got their attention.

"She's fine. Just sleeping." I told them. They looked at me like I had just magically grown a mustache. They looked back at Manami and then each other. Almost as if silently agreeing if they should believe me or not. I rolled my eyes.

"How do you know that?" Yuika asked almost shyly but still warily. I smiled kindly at her, knowing how she must feel, not knowing how us Kosonoy work.

"Trust me, us Kosonoy don't go down this easy. Watch. Akuma, Tenshi, get up you lazy weirdos." I spoke loudly and annoyed.

They appeared, making everyone tense up. "Relax guys. They're not enemies. Hello Kate, Amanda, how have you been?" I asked them. They were shocked to say the least.

"How do you know our names? Dude, you better start talking you little shi-" I cut her off by raising my hand in a stop gesture. I chuckled.

"Wow, you sure haven't changed. So this is what you've become eh twinny? Demon huh? Impressive. You'll definitely impress your mom and dad. They miss you y'know?" I told her.

"Zac!?"

Shikamaru's POV

Wait what? The demon's brother is engaged to Manami!? No, that can't be. He said her parents missed her. Meaning, they don't have the same parents. Are they just really close?

I guess he noticed our faces because he answered our unasked question. "We are really close friends, but we were actual siblings at one point. Here, I'll explain in a second. Tenshi, she needs to wake up. Like now." He demanded.

Who I'm guessing is Tenshi, nodded respectfully and got to work. Not even 5 minutes later, Manami was groaning, waking up.

I put my attention back on her and grabbed her hand gently. Her beautiful stormy grey/teal eyes fluttered opened and landed on me. She smiled lightly and I kept her gaze.

Alexandra's/Manami's POV

I opened my eyes, only to be greeted by Shikamaru's relieved yet overjoyed face. I had to smile at that. His face looked so happy, I couldn't help but stare. That was until I heard a cough.
