Warning: This chapter has not been proofread or edited.

NOTE: I know it's short, but i wanted to post something and i'm working on another which i might be able to publish later today. I officially hate finals :-(

Note: Also, the cast list is really coming along ;-) i'll probably make a collage soon. One collage of the 9 guys, one of the Lee family, etc.

Alarms blared, the annoying sound pounding against my eardrums as the equally irritating red lights rotated around the hallways. If my count was right, the water system should turn on in a few minutes, drenching anyone still in their classrooms or even in the hallway.

I was wrong.

No water turned on in the hallways where I was, but students and teachers rushing past me were wet so the sprinklers obviously worked somewhere.

As a 1, I couldn't in all consciousness allow my followers to stay at school while some psycho was running around tossing dead feline carcasses at people. Ok, at me, but it was all rational in my mind.

And all that rational thought led to me pulling the fire alarm. After other rational--at the time--thoughts led me to running away from Mr. Kade as other students started piling into the computer lab and he was not able to get to me quickly enough to stop me.

I needed Wil, I admit it. He would have never let me pull the alarm without thinking it over more. For example, my mind conveniently forgot how animalistic students of Ashley Waters could be.

They were creating a stuffed bottle neck at the doors, not a single person able to get out as they all pushed, pulled, and even grabbed hair and clothing trying to throw others to the side so they could survive the nonexistent fire.

I feared what would happen if there was ever a real fire.

Out of my periphery, I saw Grady standing up against a set of lockers, bookbag clutched to his chest like a prized possession as his eyes darted left to right and his feet went up onto his tiptoes. He was searching for someone. Jensen, perhaps?

Now would definitely not be the right time to tell him I'd found his cat.

But should I let him go home and continue searching for her? Karma was dead, one side of my mind argued. It would do no good to anyone to tell him now, when he would undoubtedly freak out and cause even more distraction. I was best served getting these teachers and students out of here—safely.

His eyes caught mine and I used the desperation in them as he searched for someone else as an excuse to simply nod at him and turn away. I needed Wil, or Bryan, or just someone to stop me. I was going completely off the rails.

A head of brown hair connected to a body encased in a white top and black slacks was moving through the crowd. Victor moved as easily as if he was used to moving like a snake. God he was going to get himself crushed!

Putting two fingers to my lips, I let loose a shrill whistle before yelling "ALRIGHT EVERYBODY CHILL! YOU'RE GONNA KILL EACH OTHER FOR FUCK'S SAKE!"
