Some people literally froze, not moving an inch, their eyes trained on me like I was about to give put the winning lottery numbers.
My throat felt a bit raw from screaming, but with all eyes on me i knew i needed to follow up. "Now," i said in a decidedly calmer voice "Everyone pushing at the doors and each other stop immediately or face the consequences." Some of them were rational, and stopped trying to eliminate each other but some became more aggressive.
As i watched, some big football player--he had a jersey on and that was pretty much the only way i knew--yelled "Get the fuck out of the way loser!," grabbed the two people nearest him and literally tossed them away to the side.
My eyes bulged as i watched the scene degenerate as he grabbed another person, his eyes wild and unfocused.
Out of the first two he'd thrown, one was a guy about medium build who'd landed on a group on girls who had somehow managed to keep him from taking all of them to the ground. They were now helping him back upright . The other, however, was a scrawny little guy--maybe my height but Kota's build--and he landed on the opposite side of the hallway on the ground.
Some hands tried to pull him up, but the poor guy was fending off feet and hands all at once as unknown limbs trampled him in their haste to get out of the football player's way or put of the door.
"HEY CALM THE FUCK DOWN ASSHOLE," was shouted into the air.My heartbeat stuttered and went into overdrive as i recognized that voice and the scent of ocean hit me as North and Silas charged past me, headed straight for the disaster up front.
North barely had his hands on the guy when another huge football player turned and told Silas to "Sí, man control your girlfriend!"
North's nostrils flared and Silas said something I couldn't hear in response. North started yelling at the guy who'd called him Silas' girlfriend, and the guy yelled back his face heating up with adrenaline, his meaty fists clenching. The guy took a swing at North (who was somehow still holding onto the first football player) which North dogged but it glanced off of his left cheek, North's jaw clenching in response.
Silas, angered now, demonstrated why AW may have a chance of winning this football season as he expertly tackled the guy to the ground.
The one North was holding lost his mind--again--and started struggling, waving his fists around angrily.
His fists were clashing and landing on innocent bystanders, some who tried to move away but were too crowded by the students who were plain fascinated with the scene and refused to move.
Like the first small guy, some of the bystanders ended up on the ground, being forced to ball up like snails just to keep feet and hands from hitting them accidentally.
What the heck had i done?
A patch of red could be seen bobbing its way through the crowd and I realized that it was attached to none other than Nathan Griffin. He was going straight for the brawl with the guys and the footballers. He was going to get himself crushed!
